Garden Nature / Park
Escape the bustle and glitz of South Beach at the tranquil Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Although stretching barely over a hectare (2.6 acres), this urban retreat packs an impressive range of colorful native plants, a Japanese garden, wetland area, and plenty of palm trees for shade. The botanical garden not only serves as a peaceful oasis where locals and visitors can sit, stroll, and enjoy the flora, but it also hosts a number of cultural events. Those particularly interested in local botany should opt for a guided tour. Visit the on-site shop to purchase some of the featured flowers. Where to stay in Miami Beach

As Miami Beach is situated on an island across the bay from the main city, you'd be hard-pressed to find accommodation here that doesn't offer beach access. Accommodations on Miami Beach range from vacation rentals to boutique hotels to luxury resorts. Those wanting to be at the heart of the famous shopping, dining, and nightlife of Miami Beach should stay in South Beach along Ocean Drive or Collins Avenue. The island's Art Deco district offers a number of vintage hotels within walking distance of the area's main attractions and famous beaches.

  • It's a nice little side trip if you live on the beach or if you're in town, but don't plan on spending much time here - it's tiny. It functions well as a green oasis in South Beach, but a lot of it is taken up by event space. The Japanese garden is pretty. I just wish there were more plants and less open space.
  • Nothing like I expected in size. It was super cute, but very small. I know it's not their fault but there is a huge construction job next to it that really ruins the experience.
  • Hands down, my favorite place in whole Miami. If you have a chance go and ask the man with butterfly hat from the gift shop for little unofficial tour. I swear, he is a wizard and will hook you on magical stories of the precious plants and trees you can find here ☺️
  • Really pretty free entrance botanical garden. You can hear some parrots flying around, they have benches to sit and fish food for 25cents to feed the koi fish (they will follow you like puppies).
  • Free to venture though and plenty to see. There are lots of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. There are a ton of tiny lizards and a few large iguanas running around. The koi ponds are packed with fish and some turtles. It made for a nice walk with the wife and the holocaust memorial is just around the corner.
