  • Really nice with very competent and welcoming staff. Interesting about the screenings of the animals and a lot of fun to get pet a Possum. Good with feeding stations. Visit!

  • Perfect place to have fun with your kids, there is a public playground with really good facilities to all ages and close to it a water playground closed area free for locals but 10 USD adults, 6 USD kids (toddlers or less free). Buses pass around 4 blocks so it's very accessible, prepare to spend at least 1h if your child are full of energy. Very recommended
  • If youre visiting shops in the area, you can park here for free for 3 hours. All parking in the area is about $3.00 an hour which isn't high but if you can save $3.00 why not? This park is decent.
  • Has a great artificial turf soccer field just to the east of baseball stadium. All in all a nice park to bring kids and even seen dogs in park so must be dog friendly.
  • I feel like a cash register (instead of a valued patron) at Flamingo Park Tennis under Howie Orlin's "Management". I love the park, courts & everything the city offers it's residents but I'd welcome new management after several years of Howie. This year, Howie raised the 90 Minute Tennis Clinic Price from $20 to $25 (a 25% increase without much/no notice). The increase has been a colossal failure, but Howie's too stubborn/proud to recognize he made a greedy error. In my last 4 clinics: - Clinic was cancelled due to lack of players (eve clinic was never cancelled due to lack of players in the FOUR years I played @ $20) - Clinic was played but cut short to an hour because there were only 3 players (we were still charged in full) - Clinic was played with EIGHT people per court on 2 courts & no extra time or credit was provided (so in Howie's Cash Register world: when it's "short" in players our time is cut short but when it's overloaded in player's we're not compensated - Howie wins in both scenarios while the players lose in both) - Clinic was great once out of my last 4 times BUT, when I strained my calf on the last play of the game, the pros just left me there with no way to walk, leave or get home! I tried to tell Howie that increasing the clinic price failed. Few people now play so we often do not hold clinic & when we do, the quality is so expansive that it's unenjoyable, etc. Howie listened & disagreed. The private lesson prices have also increased (again without notice) under Howie's management. Earlier this year, Howie let an approximate 11 year old child play in the adult mixed clinic. The child did not have the skill level to play in an adult clinic, but Howie allowed this child to ruin our adult games given his father was paying to play clinic as well. This is another perfect example where Howie runs the center like a CASH REGISTER instead of what's best for it's patrons. In another clinic this Summer, I spent an entire HOUR receiving zero feeds from the pro. The other players had at least 20+ feeds each but I received none. After an hour of painful tolerance, I walked out & told Howie. Again, I was charged in full and Howie did nothing. Howie even charges us to play when it's likely to be cancelled for rain. I've found on more than 1 occasion that I was not credited back for these cancelled dates. Cash Register Howie! Last night I put another $100 credit in my account so that I won't have to stand in the long lines at the door when I come to play. Apparently there was a promotion a couple days ago, and the the staff asked Howie to extend it to me yet Howie refused. I reminded Howie that I was injured on his courts & couldn't make the promo days earlier. Cash Register Howie was unmoved. Howie knows I've paid thousands of dollars to his center yet Howie has NEVER done one financially generous act in reciprocation EVER. Howie bugged me to purchase something when he brought in his clothing line and I supported him by buying an overpriced pair of socks. But supporting or pleading to Howie gets you nothing. Jimmy the old management NEVER treated patrons like cash registers EVER. Can the city pls find some management that cares about us?Thanks!
  • Beautiful park for people of all ages! There is a great track and field that I use to workout. The bathrooms there are also well kept (especially for being in South Beach) and water fountains usually have cold water.
