  • The best spot for that iconic location from the movie Forrest Gump. It was a quick drive from the Arizona-Utah border. It was worth the 2-hour drive from Flagstaff. Best to go there early in the morning so there's not a lot of people and the sun is in front of these mountains/buttes. There's not a lot of vehicles passing by so that makes it even better. We went there first for sunset but it didn't give the best lighting since the sun was behind the buttes to the right. We tried the spot up the hill but these photos were taken from that scenic viewpoint before the hill (northbound) and the view was better. If I'm ever going back to AZ or UT, I'd definitely visit this spot again.
  • This is the point in the movie where Forrest keeps running throughout the US, gains followers and suddenly stops! It's the exact same background you see in the movie. A really good point for photographers to capture the monument valley stretch in one shot. It makes for a good backdrop for portraits and engagement photos as well.
  • We stopped here thinking we would be the only people who knew where this spot was. When we arrived it was very busy. The area has a little sign saying this is where Forrest Gump ended his journey. It was easily accessible from the highway. Definitely worth checking out. The views around here are amazing.
  • One of the most scenic places of America's wild west! You can just stay and watch. You can think about the time and and infinity. Also thus place is free which is great. Mexican hat, Goosenecks and Monument valley are pretty close from here.
  • Quick stop, depending on the amount of photos you will take and if you want to reenact the scene... Maybe around 15-30 minutes. Be mindful off the traffic as stories of people getting run over.
