  • the camp sites are a good size, the staff are very helpful. The campground hiking trails are a lot of fun and scenic. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it!!

  • The worst place to camp. There is no toilet paper, the water pressure sucks, there is no hot water, the Rangers are rude and inappropriate, and you get noise violations and fines for quitely talking around a campfire. Don't come here if you want to speak out loud past 10pm. Honestly, worst camping experience I have ever had. If you have a fire crackling past 10pm, you are too loud. We had neighbors smoking pot all day long and no one said a word....then we were casually speaking around a fire and got a violation. We will be going elsewhere in the future where there is water pressure to flush the toilets, toilets paper to wipe our butts, hot water to take a shower, and we can talk around a campfire without being yelled at. Who goes camping and sleeps before 10pm? Seriously. Do not come here.
  • The hiking trails were just challenging enough to provide a good workout, and the views were gorgeous!
  • Except for the common problem with many campgrounds all over the country of people ignoring the leash rule for dogs, I really like this campground. Nice campsites, clean facilities, and very friendly staff. Repaving the road on 2 of the 4 loops this summer will be nice improvement.
  • Horrible, we had a trailer partially parked on a site with our relatives and a day after being settled in the officer made us pack up and move everything for no reason! Park has a no playground facilities for kids, other than some broken swings. New bathrooms have no water pressure had to flush 3 times to get toilets to clear. I frequently camp at Michigan state parks and will not be returning. 90% of the sites in the south loop are dirt and unlevel.
  • Excellent state park. Nice lake and Beach . Park store . Beautiful area .
