  • Spend an hour or spend a day. This park is huge. It is built around a large reservoir. Beautiful grass and trees plus trails galore.
  • The Park has a nice walking track for walking around the lower lake. If you want a more challenging walk/run then try the nature trail. This trail goes into the woods and around the larger lake. There...  more »

  • Its overall a wonderful park. Its a great introduction to the flora and fauna of the region. It has great multi trails through the woods. The main straight walk through is a 5 mile hike. We would recommend to walk through the forest as quiet as possible to catch some of the more wonderful, yet skittish, wildlife such as deer and the like. A great place to get away and go for a quiet jog through the tree covered trails. It has many picnic areas. Its great for family. even has a few pavilions to have birthday parties and/or family gatherings. Fishing is allowed but the lakes do need to be restocked already, of which I doubt their doing unfortunately. It also has a play pen area for the younger ones to play in. The trails are outlined with work out stations for those that can hack the exercise!
  • This is by far, my favorite place in Meridian. It is always clean and safe. The lower lake is nice to walk around and get your steps in while the back lake is perfect for paddling. Hiking trail is nice too. It can get crowded at times but it's never gotten to the point where I have been dissuaded from going.
  • Very beautiful place to walk or run with spots to workout. A lot of large playgrounds for children
  • The good: Wide open with no paid entry. No camping. Beautiful lake. Lots of picnic areas. Great playground for kids. Descent for walking, running or biking. Lots of geese and ducks. Things to watch out for: lots of vehicle traffic with drivers that do not pay attention. The geese can get a little mean. Panhandlers during the day and the homeless make this their home at night.
  • Nice clean quiet park.
