  • this is a great place to take a walk and experience lake erie's wildlife and be with other people. When we were there in the fall, it was not crowded at all even though the weather was lovely.  more »
  • Headlands beach is one of the best places to spend a day at the beach, have a picnic, take a walk on the beach, and enjoy the awesome sunsets. Should be a must visit in any weather.  more »

  • This beach is enormous. You can be close to people or you and your family can find a less populated area to relax. They have picnic table areas with grills. There is a snack bar that is open most of the day in the summer. There are some trails to walk and some play sets for kids. Park rangers are always around and life guards are on duty during summer hours.
  • My favorite beach in Lake County. Its massive, you can easily have parties, easy to find places to sit near the beach. They have rest rooms, changing rooms...etc. Only down side is the water seems to be getting unsafer every year. I mean in general, not just here. Last time I was here my friend and I both get VERY sick after being in the water. We didn't see a sign about water issues so not sure why.
  • Went to this beach in the morning after a cold front went thru, little rain but winds changed direction and increased. Being cool, I guess, kept number of visitors down. Waves were wonderful. Long beach, nice scenery. Would be good for swimming on a warmer day.
  • One of the nicer parks in the area. Plenty of parking and an easy walk to the shore.
  • On a warm summer day, you wouldn't even know you were in Ohio. What a great beach.
