DeSoto Falls is a 104ft waterfall located on the West Fork of the Little River near Mentone, Alabama, in DeSoto State Park. The falls have carved their own small canyon. They are named after Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto.

  • We came here to check out the area and got a nice up close view of the falls. Very beautiful falls and on the other side of the damn you can kayak and paddle board up the river. Worth the stop!  more »

  • When in Mentone, we always take a quick trip to the falls. Right now they are gorgeous. It doesn't take long and it closes at dusk but great scenery and photo op for family.  more »
