  • Stunning. Easy walk with beautiful views of the rocky California coast, rock arches, caves and the sweet town of Mendocino  more »
  • Do not leave Mendocino without walking the headlands. One of the areas most beautiful walks. There are two separate headlands walks. Both incredible.  more »
  • When visiting Mendocino, you really must allow time to walk the paths along the headlands in front of the town. We visited in March and everyone was looking for whales. It is so beautiful!  more »

  • This is a fantastic location to view the Whale migration annually. Also birds, and seals along with sea otters. Occasionally you can see pods of killer whales... though I have not seen any for around 4 yrs. Sunsets are the best also.
  • The views walking along the headlands are absolutely spectacular. The headlands surround the town and so are very accessible. We walked out to the edge of the headland and saw a collapsed see cave. When the waves came in it made a booming sound. You can also access the beach along the river. There were some people cooking a meal, surfers, tourists and locals. But its so big, it did not feel busy. Parking is available on the adjacent streets.
  • This right here it was my first place I'm going Abalone diving I really really love this but I can't wait to go back here very very beautiful scenery here unbelievable breathtaking
  • Wow! It makes you just want to stand their and clap your hands! This particular area had multiple views and was easy to get to. Lots of free parking. It was also easy to walk between the different viewing areas. It's all flat. Other areas required climbing or rough paths and a bit of a walk to get to.
  • Easy access, great strolling. Ocean - sky - cliffs. If you have the time, great place to bring a sandwich and spend the afternoon. A real treat.
