  • Actually I don’t recommend going to see the ducks BUT it is worth it to watch the people watch the ducks. Go a little bit early, get a good seat in the lobby bar, relax with a nice cool drink. The Pea...  more »

  • We stayed at the hotel and watched the ceremony. Get a place up on the balcony. Don't bother with getting a seat in the lobby bar.  more »

  • This hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Memphis. It is located in the heart of downtown and from here it is easy to navigate to the sights and sports venues just blocks away. The rooms, even the suites, are not very large but it is an older hotel and that is to be expected. The bar is lively and fun. I’m not sure why, but I still love to watch the ducks whenever I am here. If you are in Memphis and cannot stay here, at lest come for High Tea. It is a service they do quite well and it gives you a glimpse into the service you can expect on your return visit.
  • Went to see the March of the ducks, was absolutely brilliant. The ceremony is entertaining, the ducks are well behaved and adorable. One of the best things to do in Memphis. Would recommend getting there at least 20 minutes early to get a place to watch it. It's usually quite packed.
  • The stay at this hotel was fantastic. Great service, great location. The hotel was built in the twenties and is truly a special place. Staying here made my trip to Memphis exceptional. Too many things to mention that impressed me.
  • Went to the Peabody at 11am to see the duck walk ritual. The place was packed! They had a very strict no standing or sitting on the floor policy in the main area, but many people were standing on the side. There was a man who explained the tradition which was nice. The ducks walked very fast from the elevator to the fountain so easy to miss. A very strange happening.
  • I'm not one to complain and it takes me a while before I get impatient but I tell you that this is the place to avoid during the holidays. Don't know if it was the skeleton crew of staff or just the lack of attention to detail but after hearing all the positive reviews and the overall legacy of this place I was assured that it would be a fine place to spend a holiday. Well it wasn't. From the inexperienced desk clerks to the extremely slow service I saw an overall lack of dedication to a place like this. The only way to eat at the two restaurants in the hotel is to make a reservation. Even if the place is empty they wouldn't let walk ins dine. Took us 30 minutes to check in. The place was not extremely clean. Broken glass on the ground that took a while for them the clean up. Finally just the overall service was slow and constantly made errors in orders. There was even a waitress who spilled a tray of drinks on a poor fellow by the duck fountain in the lobby. In the end it comes down to lack of attention to detail. Won't be staying again.
