  • Great outdoor park for the family to enioy. If you are a history buff, this is a must-see in Memphis with tons of local and Mississippi River history. The flowing topographical map of the river is great for "wading" or "walking" the river. There is a monorail but the footbridge has great views and isn't long. The main building hosts a deli and the museum. There is a concession stand with restrooms at the end (I.e. the gulf) where you can also rent a paddle boat.
  • The Mississippi River model is nothing short of extraordinary. The details and craftsmanship lend to a wonderful learning experience for all ages.
  • It’s a great park to take your kids and let them have fun while they are learning something new. Recently with Pokémon Go, you can play the game with your kids while at the park. You can walk over the bridge but I recommend you ride the Monorail its $4.00 per person, all ages.
  • Skipped the museum to focus on just the river walk. It's a remarkable scale model of the Mississippi River and is fun to wade and splash through on a hot day. Some of the park is showing its age but it's still a great spot.
  • As always the Mud Island River Park is a must-see when in Memphis. There is a scale model of the Mississippi River from its starting point all the way till it's ending point in the Gulf of Mexico. There's a trolley that you can take which transports you from the mainland to the island itself, but Raleigh is more of a tourist attraction as you could easily walk on the elevated Bridge. The cost of the trolley ride is about $10 and is not worth the money. There's an Amphitheater on the island which hosts concerts occasionally. At the end of the Riverwalk there's concession stand to buy drinks and there are multiple gift shop locations.
