  • Whilst traveling over the bridges in mississippi we were taking photos not the best day of our tour in fact it was the last & it rained for the whole day, first one for 17days. We still managed to get...  read more »
  • In my opinion a waste of time. Unless you're a lover of the landforms, you'll feel that you lost a morning of precious vacation time. If you decide to make the trip by boat, say that you pay $20 for a ride of an hour and a half where a very nice gentleman tooooda the story you of the Mississippi. There is another excursion that lasts two hours, with dinner and music at direct that he is worth $45 and that we did not but a couple we met that and that told us that it was a scam

  • Very nice and varied history--there's topics ranging from riverboats to the Civil War to music. Very quiet the day I was there. The Mud Island River Park is nearby and worth a visit too. I drove over ...  read more »
  • Great outdoor park for the family to enioy. If you are a history buff, this is a must-see in Memphis with tons of local and Mississippi River history. The flowing topographical map of the river is great for "wading" or "walking" the river. There is a monorail but the footbridge has great views and isn't long. The main building hosts a deli and the museum. There is a concession stand with restrooms at the end (I.e. the gulf) where you can also rent a paddle boat.
  • The Mississippi River model is nothing short of extraordinary. The details and craftsmanship lend to a wonderful learning experience for all ages.
  • It’s a great park to take your kids and let them have fun while they are learning something new. Recently with Pokémon Go, you can play the game with your kids while at the park. You can walk over the bridge but I recommend you ride the Monorail its $4.00 per person, all ages.
  • Skipped the museum to focus on just the river walk. It's a remarkable scale model of the Mississippi River and is fun to wade and splash through on a hot day. Some of the park is showing its age but it's still a great spot.
  • As always the Mud Island River Park is a must-see when in Memphis. There is a scale model of the Mississippi River from its starting point all the way till it's ending point in the Gulf of Mexico. There's a trolley that you can take which transports you from the mainland to the island itself, but Raleigh is more of a tourist attraction as you could easily walk on the elevated Bridge. The cost of the trolley ride is about $10 and is not worth the money. There's an Amphitheater on the island which hosts concerts occasionally. At the end of the Riverwalk there's concession stand to buy drinks and there are multiple gift shop locations.
