  • The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum was "okay", but you learn and pick up most everything in the museum by the time you get there. Sun Studios and Beale Street are MUCH better attractions.  more »
  • Located in the heart of the Memphis entertainment district, the museum does a very good job chronicling the history of modern music from the early gospel days, to Mississippi Delta blues, to early roc...  more »

  • Memphis is a very musical city, and this museum covers all of it so well, with great artifacts in the displays in addition to audio listening. If you love Elvis, Al Green, Issac Hayes, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc. you will love this place! Right next to the FedEx Forum and Beale Street. 5 stars
  • Here you get to learn about the rock and roll music and Soul music. I was very impressed by the items that they have on display. When you start the tour they show a 12 minute movie and they also provide an audio device that you can listen to the history of the items on display. Just enter the number that they show by the item and it will tell you the history of that item. There is lots to see here, so plan to spend at least an hour or so here, but you get to learn how rock and roll and soul music was started. A must stop if you are in Memphis, Tn
  • Great museum for Memphis music and history! Movie at the start (don't miss it) and then everything is at your own pace. If you read everything, listened to all the audio clips, and listened to half the songs.. This museum would take about 3 hours to go through. Pretty long but great info and music. Good info (kinda short though because it's only in one room) on Sam Phillips, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and BB King. A must stop for any Rock 'n' Roll or Blues fan visiting Memphis!
  • Very informative museum. The intro film was a good start and all the music throughout the museum a nice touch. Sometimes the audio guide was a bit long for the amount of artifact you have to look, but it's a minor issue. Go see it.
  • The Memphis Rock n Soul Museum is not bad. For the price of admission, I expected more exhibits than what's there. The audio tour is cool and the music is good.
