  • This is a great place to go if you enjoy a nice long walk in beautiful surroundings. The various gardens were very well done. There is also a large garden and play area for kids that is really cool. W...  more »
  • We were there in September and the weather was very hot and due to heat not able to enjoy it as much. Most of the flowers had past but the scenery in certain parts were very beautiful and creative. I ...  more »
  • Great evening of music. You can bring your law chairs, a small cart to carry them and you food and beverages to enjoy the outdoors, music, food and friends.

  • This is a very nice place to visit and to view the plant life. They garden is one of the most extravagant that I have seen in a long while. A great place to walk and enjoy a lovely day. The also have events on a regular basis so check there web site to see what is taking place that day.
  • Great concert venue!! Cheryl Crow was rocking it out & you had a great view no matter where you sat whether you saw the stage or the multiple big screens!! Food truck variety was vast & affordable. Lots of parking & employees were very nice & helpful!
  • My dad has THE most incredible garden - with vegetables, fruits and flowers. BUT, his daughter (yours truly) is a poor example of a plant proliferation protégé. As I work to reform my ways, the Memphis Botanic Garden is a godsend. With that, I truly appreciate the MBG's plant sales throughout the year, along with their education programs for both kids AND adults. I've also been to many a concert on the lawn, events in the Grand Gallery, and I haven't been let down once. NOT once. Wherever you are on the grounds, there's an intimate feel, despite the nearly 100 acre expanse. It's due to the fact that the gardens are sectioned off into various different settings. My favorite vista is the amazing Japanese Garden of Tranquility. It's arguably one of the best settings in Memphis, aside from the views on and around the Mississippi River. The pond, the swans and the geese just bring me peace - within. Yes. It rhymed and I liked it. If you are looking for an activity for children, My Big Backyard is for you. Woot! In addition to the Live at the Garden concert series, I've really enjoyed different events in the Grand Gallery - an enclosed hall with a seated area and an outdoor water garden. The cost ranges from FREE to $8 per visit!!!!!! Even if you don't have enough time to visit this treasure of a 28-garden experience, you can just do lunch at Fratelli's Cafe. Plain and simple. There is no excuse to miss out on the joy that is The Memphis Botanic Garden.
  • Great koi pond, butterfly garden was lacking in butterflies and less designed flower spaces than I'd hoped. Good size though, just big enough to enjoy it and small enough so you can easily see it all in an hour or so!
  • Beautiful, peaceful, expansive. Couldn't see even 1/4 of it in the limited time we had there. Will definitely return if only to spend more time in the famous Japanese Garden.
