  • This was one of the highlights of our visit to Memphis. The grounds are beautiful. We were a group of adults but still enjoyed the "backyard". This would be a great place to take children. There are p...  more »

  • Worth every penny. Directions to entrance confusing without GPS. Trail intersections hand no name markers so map was not user friendly. Types of plants not labeled or labels not place correctly. Plenty of walking. Great staff. Too many high society snobs
  • Beautiful place. As a nanny I have taken many children to The Big Back Yard. Excellent entertainment for young ones. I would love it more if it were easier to keep little ones corralled in smaller areas. There are just too many escape routes without boundaries. Definitely worth a season pass for young families.
  • Massive awesome park! If you have kids or are a large kid at heart there is a cool section with tiny homes, slides and so much more. We missed the tulips this year but the herb and Rose gardens were beautiful. Also, the Koi pond was really cool!
  • Great place to take kiddos. I wish every state had a My Big Backyard area. It is fabulous
  • This was the most extensive botanical garden I have been to. The cost is $10 per person. They have several themed gardens and many areas for children too.
