  • Well, its more of a display of everything "Banana" in an old gas station cafe. The owner are nice folks who I think inherited this collection. (Be careful what you leave your kids with.) It's not a mu...  more »
  • Should you not simply right leave the international banana Museum, if you are driving from the North, for example, in coming to salvation mountain. Still pretty inconspicuous from the outside this place is home to a flood of Banan rosaries that you probably rather not suspected in this remote corner of the world. The staff is friendly and well and fee can be photographed against a dollar (or after the purchase of anything) to your heart's content. Also it is fast with loading - real fun.

  • My friend and I stumbled across this little gem on accident, right next to the Salton Sea. The gentleman inside was very insightful and interesting. If you're looking for those different kinds of plac...  more »
  • "What in the world?" was my first thought as I'm sure it is for many. This kitschy museum in the middle of the desert is a true gem. Bananas, bananas, and more bananas! It brought back many childhood memories and the owners were so friendly and cheerful. The homemade banana ice cream was amazing as was the banana-split Twinkie. I applaud their passion and would recommend to any and all.
  • I wasn't sure what to expect, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. It is indeed quirky, but seeing hundreds and hundreds of pictures, sculptures, trinkets and banana treats all in one place was astonishing. The owners were incredibly nice and gave us the background of the museum, which made me appreciate it even more. They have great banana drinks, sweets and ice cream for sundaes, shakes and splits. If you are in the area I think it is a must see!
  • Worth a visit if you're passing through.
  • This place is such a rip off. It looks like a cheep souvenir shop for tourists. Safe your 1$ and avoid this place. There is nothing ro see.
  • Such a unique experience. There are a lot of reasons people are drawn to the Salton Sea and the International Banana Museum is one of the benefits of exploring this magical place. Do it, you won't regret it and make sure you try a banana shake or three. 🐷
