  • Ha! Seeing a bananas in pajamas figure was worth the trip. Other than that, it is a bunch of banana stuff. No history of the banana or anything like that....
  • ok, ya got ta stop by (I stopped by twice, it was closed the 1st time so I went out of my way and glad I did). hours 1-sunset thursday-sunday, So many banana "things"
  • We stopped by on our way to Salvation Mountain. It was interesting to see so many banana-related things. Admission of $1.00 was waived with a purchase and we bought a scoop of ice cream for $1.50. We ...  more »
  • "What in the world?" was my first thought as I'm sure it is for many. This kitschy museum in the middle of the desert is a true gem. Bananas, bananas, and more bananas! It brought back many childhood memories and the owners were so friendly and cheerful. The homemade banana ice cream was amazing as was the banana-split Twinkie. I applaud their passion and would recommend to any and all.
  • I wasn't sure what to expect, but I certainly wasn't disappointed. It is indeed quirky, but seeing hundreds and hundreds of pictures, sculptures, trinkets and banana treats all in one place was astonishing. The owners were incredibly nice and gave us the background of the museum, which made me appreciate it even more. They have great banana drinks, sweets and ice cream for sundaes, shakes and splits. If you are in the area I think it is a must see!
  • Worth a visit if you're passing through.
  • This place is such a rip off. It looks like a cheep souvenir shop for tourists. Safe your 1$ and avoid this place. There is nothing ro see.
  • Such a unique experience. There are a lot of reasons people are drawn to the Salton Sea and the International Banana Museum is one of the benefits of exploring this magical place. Do it, you won't regret it and make sure you try a banana shake or three. 🐷
