  • STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. As the mother of the bride for a September, 2016 wedding, originally booked at Youngberg Hill, I am disappointed by the behavior of Nicolette with regards to the refund of deposit monies. Due to a lack of clarity in the original contract, supplemented by numerous email discussions between Nicolette, myself and my daughter, where Nicolette failed to provide clear answers to simple questions, my daughter reluctantly decided to terminate the contract with Youngberg Hill and look for another site for her wedding. Our agreement with Youngberg Hill requires them to make good faith efforts to re-book the site with another event, and if successful, refund the deposit monies to my daughter. Youngberg Hill refused and continues to refuse to refund the deposit. The simple facts are that my daughter cancelled her September wedding at Youngberg Hill in March of 2016. An email from a third party was sent to Youngberg Hill in May of 2016 asking if they had any availability over the Labor Day weekend of 2016. Of course they did because my daughter cancelled her Labor Day weekend wedding there in March of 2016. The response back from Youngberg Hill was that they were FULL for that entire weekend and another date, later in the month, was offered to the third party. Youngberg Hill turned away a potential client that would have allowed my daughter to get her deposit funds back. They still have her money. Shame on them. Stay clear of this place. Update - My daughter filed a suit in small claims against Youngberg Hill and won. Nicolette would have never refunded her money voluntarily even though she had no right to retain it. Like I said, stay clear of this place.
  • The staff were super friendly, in a welcoming way. After a few minutes it was like we were all old friends. The wine is pretty good too. We originally went there because it has the best Tesla destination charger in the area. The whole wine thing was a perk.
  • This is always a nice place to get away and relax. The wine is good and the view is spectacular. But what my family and I particularly appreciate is how laid back and friendly the staff and owners are. We've come here several times with kids and picniced while purchasing a couple glasses of wine. It's always felt totally natural. Other wineries around here we wouldn't even consider for that. We also really appreciate the music in the summer. And the swing! The swing and the cows are awesome. We really appreciate Youngberg and feel it is a gem in our community.
  • Buyer Beware: Do not get married at Youngberg Hill. While the location is one of the most beautiful in the Willamette valley, the owners were consistently difficult and terrible to work with. My husband and I were married there and we found the owners, Nicolette and Wayne, to be poor communicators, aggressive, and rude. Every invoice and email exchange required a follow up phone call or two because either the invoice and charges were wrong or they left basic questions unanswered. They nickle and dimed us at every corner. They refused to return our security deposit, falsely claiming that the tent company damaged their property (although there are no photos or evidence and they’ve worked with that same tent company many times before), and they also went after our “day-of” insurance company to try to get more money. I am the owner of a small business and I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism Youngberg Hill gets away with, I am sure it is because the wedding industry doesn’t have repeat customers and their location is idyllic. But don’t be fooled, they are a scam operation, spend your money and time somewhere else.
  • Came for brief tasting of a few wines. We liked the Jordan that was a few years old best! It's a cute, small vineyard that is worth stopping in to see. Great staff, great atmosphere.
