  • Insulted at ISHA and treated like garbage. I have been living in an emotional "dire straits". For many years, I was seeking the remedies that this place could offer to assist me growing spiritually and letting go of the baggage I have been carrying around. After five years of saving money and waiting, we travel 900 miles to Isha Tennessee..... just to be insulted and treated like a piece of garbage by their volunteers. My trip to Isha was supposed to lift my spirits and relieve depression, but instead it does the opposite. We (my girl and I) reserved the couples studio (for $100/night) and it looked like a dump. I just can’t sleep in such a dump. There are two separate cots that look like beds that priest and nuns sleep in. Also, the room has no refrigerator, there's no phone, there's no TV, there’s no Wi-Fi and it is hot. So, I said “please” upgrade us to a more expensive room. The hesitant volunteer took us in a Golf cart to a house that has several rooms. She offered us the queen room for $250/night. Another dump of a room and so small. Again, no refrigerator, no tv, no phone, and they control the A/C for the entire house and want to have it at 74 degrees all the time. What kind of a cheap loser sleeps at 74 degrees? The volunteer got mad because I said I sleep at 68 degrees always. I said no to the queen, upgrade me to a more expensive King Room. So, she shows us the King room, which has a tub, and I said I would take it for $350/night. In my mind, I could not believe I was going to pay $350 to stay in a room of a home with no privacy and someone else walking around! However, I did not want to let my girl down and really wanted to experience ISHA firsthand. Minutes later, the volunteer informs me that I cannot have that King room. She said it was taken. I could hear her having a lengthy discussion on the phone asking permission from someone. After denying us the room, I asked why the owner is complaining and not allowing us to stay in the room? Especially, after she showed it to us and said it was available! She said it was not the owner, it was a Volunteer! So let me get this straight, a volunteer (that does not pay anything) gets a $350 a night room that he will not give up. Besides, some volunteers crap was thrown al over the house as if he owned it? Can you imagine how greedy the volunteer was that he would not go and stay in any of the other fifty available rooms because he's too high class and leeching off of ISHA. So the Volunteer will not downgrade to a queen room? What kind of a greedy volunteer does not downgrade his room to a queen and allow guest paying $350 a night to get the king room.these volunteers are the ones that need inner engineering. They have some serious issues in how to run an organization. I told the volunteer that they should call this place ishafoundation. com instead of ishafoundation. org and that when she started saying at me that she didnt need to take that from me. I had to shut my mouth from not putting that lady in her place just so I can get a ride back to my rental car. I told her not even a big city like Miami, where I come from, do I ever get spoken to by lady like how she talks. Also, they dont even let you bring a ham and cheese sandwich into this place. No pictures allowed either and theres nothing to do. . When you check in at 3pm, all activities are over. They only serve vegan food from 530pm to 7pm and no activities till after you check out at 11am the next day. They only have a 30 minute yoga in the morning ...Big Deal!
  • Life transforming information. As a law of attraction coach, I thought I had awoken and understood energy, manifestation and the divine. Then Isha & Sadhguru woke me up again to an even high level of consciousness and a way to see the world and myself in it. Incredible organization. Happy to count myself as one of the community members and I look forward to growing and expanding here.
  • Incredibly welcoming place. Beautiful campus and informative volunteers who were glad to answer our questions.
  • Such an amazing experience being here at the Isha Foundation in Tennesse. It is such a beautiful place as well as the amazing people who volunteer there.
  • Experience can be greatly realized in a calm and serene atmosphere in the presence of consciousness effulgence that is know to be Isha
