  • If you want to feel like you're really out in the country and not at "city park"? This is the place for you. No sidewalks here. It's rough and interesting. You might see some wildlife and you might ge...  more »
  • This is a fairly large area that encompasses a variety of terrains. We like to hike the trails and observe the details we'd miss if biking - even tho it is a great bike experience too.
  • What a pretty place to hike and enjoy spring! Lovely flowers everywhere! Bathrooms were horrible dirty!

  • Conveniently close to the city but far enough away to be peaceful. Clean, with nice bike trails. The off road trails are fairly easy for beginning mountain bikers. They don't have trails dedicated to hiking. I don't like hikers and bikers mixing trails. The campgrounds are well marked and typically clean, and the trash is emptied daily by staff. Some of the firepits are in disrepair. The park open to everyone until 10pm. This unfortunately means that often people will cruise through the park with music blaring and going way too fast, usually at night. On rare occasion someone will be cruising through in the middle of the night waking everyone up. There is a play area for kids that pretty basic but nice. Two (or three?) pavillions that can be reserved with large campsites. There are restrooms, but they're small, and typical of public campground restrooms. Running water is available via hose at one of the restrooms. Not a bad place for camping, but not my favorite either. Bike trails are nice, but they could really use separate hiking trails.
  • Decent place to go camping in the area but you must call in for a reservation and you have to do it while the offices are open other wise you'll have a visit by the cops after 10pm.
  • Absolutely Beautiful! First Time down in Texas and Erwin Park helped show off a lot of its natural Beauty. Highly Recommend for people who enjoys peaceful walks or for some photographers
  • Absolutely beautiful. Reminds me of new England, like a little piece of the North East transplanted into Texas. Great for biking trails or camping.
  • Great park for bike trails/ running. Very scenic. Feels safe with police who live on grounds, but park closes at 10pm. Kinda late, I wonder what all those cars are doing at night?
