  • Nice park. Plenty of sites that far away from each other. Good place to walk around the forest preserve.
  • My favorite park next to McHenry Dam.You can choose how long of a path to use. Can't get lost they have maps at the entry. Beautiful and clean park. Longest path is 3 .73 mile. My favorite place with leash to walk my dogs.
  • Clean, quiet and plenty of parking. Understaffed and unfortunately that means their office and the programs they offer are often unavailable. Really nice park though.
  • Nice and scenic food for walls and bike rides... Bike riders beware... Paths are one way and 3.8 miles around
  • I took my kid on a 7.3 mile hike which took us about one hour 15 minutes at a good pace. Each of the trails give you the mileage of each, so you can choose the best for you. There are prepared trails (no mud), picnic groves, a large play area, and a boardwalk by the nature center.
