Brundage Mountain Resort is an alpine ski area in the western United States, located in west central Idaho in the Payette National Forest. Brundage first opened in November 1961 and is northwest of McCall, a twenty-minute drive in average winter conditions.The summit elevation of Brundage is 7640ft above sea level, with an overall vertical drop of 1800ft. Five chairlifts serve the 1500acre of primarily west-facing terrain, overlooking New Meadows, Adams County, and past the Snake River into eastern Oregon. The area's annual snowfall is 300-. The summit of Brundage Mountain straddles the county line with Valley County to the east, in which McCall lies.Brundage also offers backcountry powder skiing on 19000acre of terrain north of the lift-served ski area, serviced by snow cats. Half-day, full-day, and two-day trips are available to areas including Granite Mountain at 8478ft and Slab Mountain at 8225ft. The two-day trip spends the night in a mountain yurt. These areas are among the highest average snowfalls in the state.

  • My family and i went here just to mountain bike. Great fun. The day we went the chair lifts were closed but we knew that. Road to the top. Pretty decent climb. Great views but didn't stay long as a st...  more »
  • How blessed is the McCall area to have this family friendly local ski mountain. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Eat a nice lunch while you watch the skiers come down the mountain. 
  • Took a drive up there on our wedding anniversary, just to look around. Was offered a great deal to ride the chair lift to the top. So we did just that, looked all around and had a ball. All the staff ...  more »
