  • Library allows Farmers Market in their parking lot on Saturdays. Great service for producers and buyers.
  • We were in McAllen a month ago and needed to find something to do for a few hours in our schedule. It was a very hot afternoon and the library was cool, quiet, comfortable place to relax and use the w...  more »
  • Beautiful library. Great customer service. Lovely garden area outside Children's Dept, with delightful art by local artist Yoli Cantu. Unfortunately, patrons insist on yapping loudly on their phones, ...  more »

  • Impatient, rude, and had the nerve to touch my things and verbally attack me until I finished gathering my belongings to leave. They wouldn't even allow me to use the restroom before shooing me out like an unwanted animal. If this wasn't the ONLY library that stayed open later than the others in the area then I WOULD NEVER COME BACK! They are incredibly insensitive and refuse to help with accommodating the responsibilities that a college student has to carry out in order to successfully complete a semester. They also refuse to acknowledge the fact that not all of us have it in the budget to afford a computer, with internet, as well as Microsoft word. So the small amount they give us to use the computers isn't enough to complete a due project. I just wish these people had gone through sensitivity training and that they weren't so mean!
  • Perfect for studying along with being nice and cold, so bring a sweater. I love this library it has everything I need and the cafe is a great addition since I grab coffee and food often from there.
  • Great location, staff, facility & resources. Overall the biggest, friendliest & family oriented library in the RGV.
  • This library looks amazing and it has a lot of resources available. My favorite part is how many tables and couches there are for reading or studying. I'm studying right now so it's a great environment. The only issue is that there will be a bit of noice and the AC leans towards the cooler side. I usually bring earphones and a sweater. Fun fact: the library was made from an old Walmart building and it is the largest one-story library in the United States!
  • Very helpful computer aides! They always help you out and go above and beyond. So grateful
