  • Lots of shops. Very clean. A new parking garage means covered parking to keep your car out of the sun. Very pleasant and easy to get into and out of. Fairly big mall. Can almost get lost! No cinnibun but lots of cookie places. Mainly Mexican Nationals and Hispanic store clerks, but all are either bilingual or English speaking. Relatively good prices, less than larger metro areas, like Denver or Dallas.
  • Good selection of shops and a nice food court. The folks tend to be more upscale then what you'd see in a Target. "Mall Rats" tend to be rare here. They usually find somewhere else to hang out once security gets more nosy. Oh and the security guys are usually a light touch. I appreciate well trained staff that knows to not overexert their agency.
  • The greatest congregation of retail clothing stores in one location. Small businesses in the interior range from phone screen repair to eyebrow threading. The Asian massage place and water massage place are some ideal attractions. There are more than 4 Asian restraints, but only one healthy food options not consisting of smoothies or yogurt. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes if you plan to be there more than 2 hours.
  • Great variety of stores. This is a great place to shop for fashion and food. Be ready to drop some serious amounts of money tho.
  • This is the largest and nicest mall in the Rio Grande Valley. They have completed a remodel and added additional parking. That said, the narrow corridors in the mall are so cluttered with kiosks that the mall feels busy when it is actually slow. Are the Kiosks a fire hazard? I cannot believe the fire department allows these kiosks to clutter the walk ways. They make it very difficult to maneuver through this mall. The kiosks need to go! They are selling junk items, they take up valuable walking space, and they are always trying to "hawk" their products. Terribly annoying! This mall does have a wide variety of stores but the stores have terrible selections of products. The stores seem to carry a reduced inventory for this mall. The stores certainly do not have the same merchandise that I find when shopping at other malls. In the three years that I have lived in McAllen, I have visited this mall twice. Once before the remodel and the second time after the remodel. I am very disappointed in this mall. Shopping is not enjoyable and the product selection in the stores is dismal. I will continue to shop online for items that I cannot wait on and I will continue to make "shopping" trips to Houston and Dallas.
