I've been visiting Arcosanti since the early 70's. Although the mission has changed somewhat, it's an interesting place. The tour is worth the $10 donation. You will learn all about the founder, the c... more »
I really didn't know much about Arcosanti and was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the architecture, the concept, and learning of Soleri's vision. We went on a tour and it was very informative an... more »
Loved to see the resulting buildings of the concepts with the vision of Paolo Soleri in Arcology (Architecture and Ecology). Very educational visit to show how people can live in tune with the ecology... more »
I live and work here in Arcosanti, and this is one of the most powerful and eye opening experiences I've had living in a place. I work in the cafe from time to time, and everyday our chefs (residents) get to choose what they want to cook. Never a set menu. We always have vegan and gluten free options, but if you want to know exactly what we're making, call ahead! It's a buffet/family style type of eating. Make sure to take a tour and spend the night. This project is AMAZING.
Play a good game of chess and enjoy your great tasting hot coffee while you see unbelievable views of cliffs, valleys and skies. Unique architecture design with a pleasurable attitude. Food was very good and had many dishes to choose from. Sunrise or sunset the view are incredible well worth the trip!
Did not have food, service times are berry limited so plan ahead, but otherwise, loved the tour.
Good food at reasonable prices including breakfast and lunch menus. The local artist and worker population eat here, too. Hike to the other side of the canyon for a full view of the buildings.
Only had coffee and tea but this is not the place you come to eat but rather to see a glimpse of what a future model city might look like. Only a small portion of the vision is represented in what has been built, but very interesting nevertheless. Visit Arcosanti and buy a on-site made bronze or clay bell. Do not miss the videos before the free tour. Really helps you understand what you are looking at.
