Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Kings Island plays home to more than 80 rides, including many world-class roller coasters. The 147 hectare (364 acre) park receives much fame for its position at the center of the roller coaster industry's revival in the 1970s. Its famous wooden coasters The Beast and The Racer are some of the most popular. You can explore the park's themed sections, including International Street, Oktoberfest, and Action Zone, as well as its very own waterpark, Soak City. The kids' area has a top-notch reputation. • Most, if not all, of the roller coaster rides have at least two coasters on the track. The most popular ones have three. The extra coasters make the lines move very quickly!! Bring your own food & keep it in the car! We had four people who had two pizzas each which cost us over $50. You can leave the park with a stamp, get food, which is right down the road, & re-enter the park. It's best not to have a bag when waiting for a ride. We were told several times to use a locker, for $2 before standing in line. $2 times about six coasters adds up.
  • Kings Island is an absolute must for fans of roller coasters, thrill rides, good food and exciting shows. Beyond its consistently high ranking amongst coaster enthusiasts, there is something in the park for everyone regardless of age, comfort level, or time limitations. Well worth a trip for those out of state. Kings Island leads the pack in both dedication to safety and accessibility for disabled visitors. If you're up for it, try riding The Beast - world record holder for the longest wooden roller coaster since its creation in 1979!
  • Kings Island is a wonderful park for people of all ages. Like Roller Coasters? Then this place is right for you! If you're not the roller coaster type then there is tons more to do. Try out all of Kings Islands classic rides like 'Monster' ,'Scrambler', 'Shake Rattle n Roll' and so much more. The staff are always happy to help. Kings Island is filled will World class rides like 'Mystic Timbers' ,Banshee' ,'Diamondback and 'The Beast'! A 5/5 star amusement park. I definetly recommend this park!
  • I've been going my whole life to KI. I miss some rides (The Phantom Theater the most) but they keep adding great new ones. Mystic Timbers is definitely a new Beast of a coaster. If you like wooden coaster but also like a smooth ride, MT is the one for you. My daughter's love the kids area! And if it's hot out, hit up the water park for some fun in the sun.
  • I've been going to Kings Island for over 40 years and let me tell you, the park is looking pretty shabby. We stayed most of the day in the water park on our most recent visit which was really fun but really could use a coat of paint. There is peeling paint on the kids slides and the kids area is very sun bleached and washed out. They rake in thousands of dollars a day and I wish they would put a little bit more back into the park to make it nice and pretty and fun for the kids. The swimming pool isn't very cold and the water is really cloudy and that's just kind of weird. I wish they would fix that too. Pool water is supposed to be nice and clear. One other thing, searching people's bags to make sure that they're not bringing in popcorn or carrot sticks is ridiculous and petty that has to stop immediately! The quality of the food versus the price is really really bad. As far as the rides go, if you are even remotely overweight forget fitting in the seats because you're not going to be able to and you will be kicked off the ride and embarrassed in front of everyone. This park is not set up for overweight people. What a horrible message to send to the American public when you're charging $50 a ticket!
