Kings Island plays home to more than 80 rides, including many world-class roller coasters. The 147 hectare (364 acre) park receives much fame for its position at the center of the roller coaster industry's revival in the 1970s. Its famous wooden coasters The Beast and The Racer are some of the most popular. You can explore the park's themed sections, including International Street, Oktoberfest, and Action Zone, as well as its very own waterpark, Soak City. The kids' area has a top-notch reputation. This amusement park also has a water park that is right next door to the amusement park. We have found that going later at night is much less crowded. You can buy a season pass that includes Cedar Poi... more »
Just starting to get kids on roller coasters! to ever get your money's worth you must go after 4:00 or during the week. This has worked for us the last two parks we visited. And remember if it is hot,... more »

I've been coming here since I was a little kid, now I get to bring my own kids to this amazing theme park. Every few years they come out with new and incredible rides and attractions. This past year saw Mystic Timbers added to the line up. They keep me on my toes and on the edge of my seat time and time again. Love them, I wish they'd bring back the tomb raider ride, but paramount doesn't own them anymore so oh well. Still the closest and greatest theme park to my home town and makes me proud to be an Ohioan.
Visited Kings island during the winter festival. Nice light decorations and few rides were open. The atmosphere was great. It was cold during our visit. Plan your trip accordingly. Ice skating was also opened. Park closed by 10pm. There didn't seem to be a fire works at closing.
This park has rebounded since Cedar Fair has purchased it. I was unsure at first, being more familiar with Paramount I was sad to see it go. However, they have been improving the park NON-STOP since they bought it. Each year, there is a new attraction unlike the ones you have seen before. The rides are well taken care of and the employees are very respectful. The park is also extremely family friendly and full of fun. Yes, it is expensive for food and entry to the park. As a result, I suggest purchasing a season pass which is a couple dollars more than a daily ticket and for $20-$30 dollars more you can get season drink passes. There are also meal plans available for purchase and this ensures you can see all of the park because you will be able to go back again. A season pass also allows discounts on everything in the park and FREE parking!
Always recommend the season passes. They are a great way to save. We visited this year through all seasons including the Christmas season. The new Christmas event was fun just extremely cold. The food is still high through out the year. Free ice water at most locations. One of the things that need improved is more intermediate rides. All in all always fun.
A nice and clean park. Lots of roller coasters but not a lot of dark/indoor rides. I could see someone that doesn’t like coasters having trouble making a whole day of it. Some abandoned buildings on the side of pathways from old rides were sad to see. Waits for rides were quite long and there weren’t of large number of interesting shows to watch. The stunt spectacular is great for a little, but you cannot see the whole show from one place.
