4/5 based on 2,000+ reviews on the web
Kings Island plays home to more than 80 rides, including many world-class roller coasters. The 147 hectare (364 acre) park receives much fame for its position at the center of the roller coaster industry's revival in the 1970s. Its famous wooden coasters The Beast and The Racer are some of the most popular. You can explore the park's themed sections, including International Street, Oktoberfest, and Action Zone, as well as its very own waterpark, Soak City. The kids' area has a top-notch reputation. Check the park's online schedule for special offers, activities, and live entertainment. Plan to see Kings Island and other attractions that appeal to you using our Mason holiday planner.

  • We decided as a family to go to Kings Island. We all enjoyed it. The lines were a bit long and rides not worth the wait but overall everyone had a good time. Highly recommend getting the meal pass, yo...  read more »
  • I'm a regular at Kings Island. I've been purchasing a gold pass for the past 5 summers, and it's definitely worth it! It pays for itself after like 2 or 3 visits, you get free parking, admission to Soak City, and you get into Halloween haunt! The rides are much fun, the staff is great, and the food is yummy (besides it being overpriced). I recommend anyone interested in visiting or wanting a pass to definitely do it. It's a great park.
  • I've been going to King's Island since 2006, when Paramount still owned it. I miss Tomb Raider, but I digress. The park has come a long way since then - Guest count has soared, and the quality of attractions is improving. Sadly, the high guest count does strain the limited number of cast members, and may cause moderate to long wait times depending on day and time. The food pass is a must if you are a frequent visitor - two meals a day for the season is a great deal, but you need to use it to get your money's worth. I also recommend the drink cup - but again, millage may vary. Eating at any restaurant you will often find a mild variety - it's easier to go to another location if you want something different. Finally, for all the Pokefans out there - the park has a ridiculous number of pokestops. Have fun, and enjoy the park!
  • Kings Island is a gem of a park and makes the Cincinnati area all the better for having it. It has a variety of world class roller coasters for the thrill seeker to the opposite end of the spectrum. Pretty much anyone can have a great time at the park. The ambiance from the minute you walk in is something special. From the moment you walk in, you are treated to the awe-inspiring view of the fountains in front of the Eiffel Tower, and the views don't stop there. Cedar Fair's ownership has done wonders for the park and they continue to take the park in an exciting direction. The staff is wonderful, the park is clean, the food is pretty standard amusement park fare (both in quality and price) and the ride ops are top notch. It's definitely one of my favorite parks to visit.. If you are wondering if you should go to the park, stop wondering and go! Word to the wise though, if you live close, you definitely should go for the gold pass. It pays for itself in a couple visits, especially with the rather insane cost of parking these days.
  • I grew up going here and always thought it was the coolest place ever. When u went back for the first time in 15 years, I realized that's not the case anymore. Redhawk sucks. Great idea that was poorly executed and we spent FOREVER in line for it on a slow day. Some of the ride were cool, but I just feel that the park has declined in excitement overall.
  • This park has a lot of roller coasters... Thrill rides. One of the best amusement parks I've visited in forever. Kind staff and reasonable prices for food and souvenirs. Be sure to try the blueberry soft serve ice cream.
