  • I’ve skied all over the country and picked Wolf Ridge this year because it is close to home and affordable with a family of 6. I know southeast skiing is always going to be icy in spots and crowded on...  more »
  • I realize this is a NC ski hill, but my second visit being worse than the first has made me cross this place off the list. The bunny slope is way too small, narrow & steep for really young kids or beg...  more »
  • Near Asheville, a place where not only the snow, the only attraction. The station has a basic structure, but enough. Great for Tubing and skiing beginners. The path to join the resort is filled with beautiful gardens and lakes, which were partially frozen, a bucolic activity, water mill and a Ski Station off that is a true Ski Museum in the open. Amazing new ride.

  • Boy Scout Troop 218 spent 2 days skiing at Wolf Ridge. We were treated like family and not a number . All employees are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Group sales has the sweetest group of ladies in their office. Food at the grill was awesome. Mark sure knows how to feed a group of boys. Rick, co-owner could be seen helping everywhere that was needed. Prices are great too. We'll be back next year to SKI THE WOLF!!!
  • This is a nice small resort. We went snowboarding. When we went they were making snow but it didn't effect us much. Just a little icy in spots. I only used the beginner runs. Four total. Two are bunny slopes with magic carpets. The other two were great for learning how to snowboard. The lodge has decent food but is pretty small. It was very crowded in the lodge the whole time we were there and it was hard to find a place to sit. Overall it was a nice place but the price was kind of high for the size. As a begginer there was not much to choose from.
  • Horrible customer service. I booked the snow tubing online since I am from out of town, for 3 adults and a child not knowing that the ramp is literally for toddlers and not for adults since its so small. No where do they say on the website that its a small ramp and the pictures aren't accurate. Since we were staying on a cabin up on the mountain when I passed by and saw the size I went in person to cancel and obtain a refund since their policy clearly states refunds will be given within a 24hr notice and I was within the 24hr notice, however when I got there, there was a child (the son of the owner/manager) and said he didn't know how to do the refund so he called his father who was at the ski resort on top of the mountain and said he would be right down. I waited for about 30 min and he never came I left my number with the child to please call me since we had to go. Tim the manager or owner called me over an hour later asking why I wanted a refund if it was to go snow tubing at Zip N Slip Snow Tubing Park, to make a long story short he basically refused to give me my refund because we wanted to go to the other snow tubing park which we did and I HIGHLY recommend. The owner of Zip n Slip gave great service and the tube run is HUGE and fun for all ages. It even rained and he gave us extra time and gave us all hot chocolate . oh and he never gave me my refund!! was supper rude and unprofessional. Do NOT recommended the snow tubing or the ski lodge. Nothing looks like the pictures.
  • So much fun! This was my first time skiing and the instructors were very helpful. They had great specials (half price Wednesday for the ladies!) and it was a great place for beginners. Would definitely go back!
  • If we hadn’t accidentally gone to the zip n slip first, maybe it would be a 4. But it was pretty lame. The equivalent of having a snow blower on your backyard hill. Maybe if you have littler kids it might work better, but with 4, ranging 4-12 they weren’t thrilled. We prebought passes online, and after 30 min left and went back to zip n slip which was AWESOME! I will say the people here were very nice and friendly. They just need more snow and more slope.
