  • Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. So relaxing and peaceful there. Walk around the island or walk the trails they offer. Lake Superior Setting.
  • The fall colors were in full swing when we visited. This is a great drive around a quaint park with stops where you can see the Lake Superior shoreline and take hiking trails around the isle. If you'r...  read more »
  • We drove through this large, natural park on the shore of Lake Superior. Many picnic spots, and large, sandy beaches. Secluded. Many bike trails and jogging paths.
  • The Black Rocks cliff jump, located inside the park, can keep the family occupied all day. It's in a very beautiful setting, and in August the water temperature of Lake Superior it is tolerable to pleasant. Also the sunsets at Sunset Point are gorgeous and should be experienced by everyone visiting the park.
  • I was in town for work and drove into this park going north out of downtown along the shoreline. Walked it for a bit and loved it. One year later I brought my family of 6 back, about a 7.5 hour trip from home along with some other sites. This became one of the many highlights of our 5 day trip. We packed a cook out lunch and ate in the park. Hiked 3/4 of the way around and my older kids jumped from the black rock cliffs. Beautiful views and awesome rock formations. My kids have lots to talk about when they get back to school!
  • Small cliff jumping opportunities for those adventures types. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Black rocks are a must see if visiting the region.
  • Absolutely beautiful ! Rock cliff outcrops, scenic overlooks, a break wall walk way all half the way to the light , and swimming beaches , with sandstone cliffs, very picturesque, with wild life in the park and photo opportunities everywhere. Just about 5 minutes from downtown Marquette.
  • Beautiful place alittle crowded even the beginning of Sept. But was gorgeous and will be back. Only down fall for smokers is the park is a smoke free zone. But for us that wasn't a big deal.
