  • Closed again but still got to wander around & enjoy some of the attractions of this lovely little Lake City with an impressive maritime history ! Get there when it's open !!

  • This museum is very interesting. It is operated by a local non-profit in the area. It will bring you back to the epitome of maritime history on Lake Superior. A large percentage of our country was built from the iron ore in the UP. Lake Superior is an incredible body of water but it can be very unforgiving and this place pays tribute to those who gave their lives to advance industry. It also has a WWII periscope along with the story of the USS Darter that participated in the battle of Leyte Gulf and was commanded by a Marquette resident.
  • Smaller but great historical place to bring the whole family and a great knowledgeable staff
  • We took our 5 year old son and our 16-month-old toddler on this fantastic tour of Marquette's Lighthouse. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and had lots of cool stories to share. The Lighthouse itself wasn't that exciting inside, but the views surrounding it were spectacular. I've been traveling to Marquette for family visits for 10 years and this was our first time on the tour. We will definitely go again!!
  • Excellent museum with displays and gift store. Awesome lighthouse tour as well!
