  • Sites are very closely packed and there are very few trees. Not much space or privacy between you and your neighbor. It's basically like camping on a front lawn in the suburbs. There's a nice little p...  read more »
  • Quiet camping on the St Clair River, with views of freighters both day and night. The stars that can be seen are more numerous than imaginable.
  • Our family just spent the past weekend at this great state park. Lots to do for all the family or great for just doing nothing. Algonac is only a mile down the road which is convenient. Swimming in St...  read more »
  • As far as State parks go I feel it is lacking. Maybe it's just cause Its to close to home for me but I feel it's a little boring and limited. I've camped in the "wagon wheel" many times as a teen and was always a good time but that was about as good as it ever got for me here. The hiking trails leave very little to the imagination and the landscaping seems to go on and on with very little noticeable change in scenery. Again my opinion is biased and should probably be over looked this time.
  • Wonderful campsites some with water view. Archery and trap range. A must if you love the outdoors.
  • This is a pretty small State Park but has a Trap Range, an Archery Range, a prairie meadow to walk through with marked paths, a small swimming area on St Clair River, and a lot of trails to explore in the woods.
  • Nice place. Wagon wheel really quiet.
  • They have FUN GOVERNERS here. Don't bring your radio with you unless you bring headphones also.
