  • Love the ocean and Golden Gate Bridge views from this location! While we were there, we saw several sea lions swimming in the water below and huge waves crashing into the rocks on the ocean side.  more »
  • Great site to visit, you would need at least 3 hours from SF Town to drive & walk the area a bit. The view is amazing, best to go on sunny days!  more »
  • First remember that the Lighthouse only opens Sat - Mon. The views are amazing, the short bridge walk to the Lighthouse is good and there are just 49 people allowed at a time. The sea is spectacular -...  more »

  • One of my favorites places in the area. Such a lovely lighthouse. The walk towards the lighthouse is really beautiful. You can get really good views of the city. The guides in the lighthouse are really kind and will gladly tell you every single story about the lighthouse and the maritime history in the bay area. It only opens a few hours in the weekends so you'd better plan your visit before you go in case it is closed.
  • One of the best view points north of Golden Gate Bridge. What makes this place attractive is that currently it opens only three days a week, and three hours when it opens. Couple of impressive views you just can't miss: the white bridge structure that reaches the lighthouse, the resting seals hundreds feet below, the entry into the San Francisco bay and Golden Gate Bridge from a rarely seen perspective. Be sure to come early as the parking is competitive.
  • Really cool little lighthouse with a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge (on a sunny day). Summers are really foggy out here, so avoid those months if you want to see anything. There are free docent tours of the lighthouse on some days which are interesting. Lighthouse hours are limited, so make sure you check the schedule before walking down here.
  • Visiting Point Bonita Lighthouse was like discovering a hidden gem in NorCal. I've lived there all my life and never heard of it until recently. The hike is a little tiring. Make sure you wear good shoes and bring a bottle of water. There is a steep hill. Also, use the bathroom before you go to the lighthouse because the publilc restroom nearby is disgusting. The lighthouse itself is small and cute. It's a bit crowded. I loved being near the water and crossing the little bridge. Go early because access to the lighthouse closes early.
  • It's ab awesome light house. Vary unique a beautiful walk to get there. The rangers at the light house are knowledgeable. We were able to see humpback whales from the lighthouse as well
