  • Away from the Centre of San Francisco go by car, take the way to get those wonderful pictures of views, since the Lighthouse is not big things, but gives a butterflies in my stomach through that bridge, which looks more like the bridge on the river that falls from Faustao Finally a site that you do not masi can let go!

  • The parking lot for the lighthouse is very small and most always full. So you will have to park near battery Alexander down the street. Also, if you like very exciting drives near high cliffs that go straight down to the ocean, go to Hawk Hill, and drive down the other side of the hill to the lighthouse (You will have to use a GPS if you're not familiar with the area). The lighthouse (as of Jan 2018) was only open 3 hours a day, 3 days a week. So check before you go. The walk to the lighthouse is as interesting as the lighthouse itself. The lighthouse is interesting to visit, and the great views of the ocean and the cliffs. Also, there is a rock in the ocean that you can see before you go through the tunnel that is always covered with seals.
  • The lighthouse is usually open every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. There are bathrooms before you hit the trail, but they are pretty gross-best skip them unless you really need to go. The trek to the lighthouse is very scenic-you can often see seals sunning themselves on the rocks below the cliff, and you can cross a bridge and go into a cave tunnel before even reaching the suspension bridge that takes you to the house. Be prepared for a little wait if you go during a popular time-there are only 49 or so people allowed across at a time, and a line may build up (the line also gives you some time to take pictures of the landscape while you wait). The views of the ocean are breathtakingly worth it, however. You can check the website beforehand for road closures and alerts.
  • The lighthouse is fantastic. Historic. When I planned the trip along with the Golden Gate, the lighthouse was on my must visit list. The view on the way to the lighthouse is fantastic. The lighthouse has been featured in movies and TV series. Most likely you will recognize it. The lighthouse itself is great. Beautiful view of the bay. It is quite windy up at the lighthouse. The lighthouse is not open all the time, so check the hours before you visit. Make sure you wear sneakers. The road to the lighthouse is a bit steep in some sections and it can get slippery. Plenty of picturesque spots to stop and snap pics.
  • Fantastic. Wild location. Historic lighthouse. Great Ranger program. Plan ahead, because there are only certain hours of certain days when you are permitted to pass through the big Iron gate, through the tunnel, and into an experience of yesteryear. Awesome!
  • Point Bonita is a really cool spot to find amazing views of the Golden Gate and Pacific Ocean. The road to get there is one way, pretty steep, and curvy. But if you are up for that then I definitely would recommend driving out to Point Bonita for some great photo opportunities.
