Casino Fun & Games
Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Resort is a casino and resort located 39 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona near Maricopa, Arizona. It is owned by the Ak-Chin Indian Community and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corporation. The 40,000-square-foot casino has video poker and slot machines, as well as blackjack, keno and bingo, and is open 24 hours a day. In July 2011, the casino underwent a $20 million expansion with the addition of a new 152-room hotel tower. The resort now has 300 rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool with swim up bar, which was completed in 2012. The resort also features five restaurants, an entertainment venue, meeting and conference space and the only Bingo hall in the Caesars organization, which continues the proud heritage of William F. Harrah, who opened his first Bingo hall in Reno in 1937.

  • What a disaster!! First off, the "Resort premium poolside king room" that was supposed to be ready to check-in by 4:00 wasn't ready at 6:30 when we arrived to check-in. So they put us in another room ...  more »
  • Harrah's Ak-Chin is under construction now. I gamble there I also have stayed at the hotel. The workers are very nice they try to always greet the customer's. Hotel stay was nice & the room was very comfortable & clean. The buffet & the grill are places u can eat at why your there. The food is good at both places. Good place to gamble & enjoy some entertainment while u gamble. This place is going to look great when the construction is done.
  • Our in-laws where in Phoenix from New Mexico and wanted to go to one of the casinos out here. We chose Ak-Chin because we had never been there and because it is a Harrah's property. We went on a Sunday night. I was looking to play poker and everyone else was looking for slots. While the slots were very accommodating the poker room was not so much. And it may be due to the fact that it was a Sunday night so maybe not too much action going on in the poker room as there was no one playing at all. We became hungry around 8 p.m. only to find out that the buffet had just closed and we're directed to a more expensive restaurant in the casino. There was a grill area that was open with more reasonably priced food but was understaffed and wait times were very long. I would like to go back on a different day of the week and maybe during a different time to see if our experience is any better. There were definitely a variety of slot machines as well as a smoke-free area which my in-laws really enjoyed.
  • Stayed here for a few days when I moved to Maricopa. Been back quite a few times since. Movie theater, bowling alley, restaurants, arcade. (All three located off site in entertainment center, but really close for kids) There is really a lot to do. Nice pools and outdoor areas. The restaurant Agave's has one of the best breakfasts in Maricopa. (Agave's is located in the casino, not entertainment center)
  • I stayed in a Tower room with a King bed, and the room was clean and modern. Beautiful! We were able to control the room temperature, walk and pick up food within the casino, and have a couple drinks at The Lounge. Will definitely come back soon!
  • New member sign up is a serious pain and wait. Seems that once your a good standing member you get better service. Slots are scattered not organized by price per play. Nice non smoking area. Best part was drink delivery and not having to chase a server, or use a messy counter to get your own soda and water.
