With 79 acres (32 ha) of unoccupied white sandy beaches, Tigertail Beach sits alongside a tidal lagoon. The beach hosts water sports galore, and you can rent paddleboards and kayaks by the hour. Considered one of the best all-around bird watching spots in southwest Florida, the beach is a critical habitat for migrating and indigenous birds, including herons, pelicans, and egrets. Deck chairs and tiger-striped cabanas are available to rent for the day. Families will appreciate the playground and cafe on site.   • You have to wade through a lagoon to get to this beach...who knows whats in the water and depending on the state of the tide you could be up to your neck!! The alternative is to walk the long way roun...  more »
