  • If you are in Lancaster County and you want to experience a true experience of a farmers ' market this is the place to be. In the area there are many places advertised tour too are artifacts. This is a real market where all the locals and can be excellent buys directly from manufacturers, many of whom are Amish. Fruits and vegetables are the masters but you can also find very interesting and various baked goods. Fun and very particular is also present at the cattle auction: mainly poultry and rabbits. Beware that there is only on Tuesday and it is best to go in the morning, have lunch with products purchased directly to the market.

  • I've gone here all my life. You may enjoy: Byer's Butterflake Bakery for a honey sweetened Apple Fritter, superior bagels and cakes and a buttermilk cookie, in central northeast building, east end. No...  more »

  • Do you want good produce at a low price? Do you want excellent meats and cheeses? Do you want local crafts, thrifty items, to flea market hunt? Come to Roots. Protip: Park on the edge of the property. It's a short walk and saves you tons of time getting out of there because the place will be packed. Be sure to check out Norma's Pizza in building 4. That lady makes an award winning pie, literally.
  • We enjoy their plant auction. Like all auctions you need to have patience. Also, plants tend to be lower quality than you would buy retail. There are other auctions and many stands to walk through.
  • A Tuesday special. Come prepared to walk and see the past in flea market things along with fresh fruits, meats, and other eats. Fun to see all the people. Good bargains too.
  • I love this place!!! Lots of vendors, fresh produce, meats, sweet treats, plant, animal and food auctions, and a flea market. Tuesdays are officially wonderful because of Roots.
  • A weekly pilgrimage for me, along with my daughter and granddaughters. Fresh produce, cheeses, and meats at great prices. Only open on Tuesdays. And Papa Sneaux's is THE place for authentic Cajun food, made by displaced New Orleans folks. Jambalaya, gumbo, red beans & rice, and shaved ice "sno balls."
