  • This one is my favorite in town. We are here a lot. Easy walking around it, has nice pool, fun splash park and playground. The rose garden is nice. We use it for bicycling, basketball, summer music, w...  read more »
  • My 1.5 year old LOVED this park. There is lots to do, baby swings and big kid swings. Lots of slides. A little play area for younger kids as well as older. Next to this park is a HUGE splash pad. We h...  read more »
  • My children enjoyed playing at the free spray park on a hot summer day. We also watched a sand volleyball game and went for a walk through the beautiful rose garden.
  • Great toys for kids. Awesome spray park area. Nice giant grass field. Poke gym and stuff. Right next to the pool and downtown aggieville.
  • Lots to do. The playground is big and the splash pad is fun. Bring water shoes as it can get algae problems in the later season
  • Parks and Rec are disorganised. I have lived in other cities and can compare. The website to register classes for youth is a mess, dating back to 1990 or so. They have recently upgraded it and now no classes show (guess noone tested before it went live??). The ages listed for classes are not in the computer correctly, so even if you kid matches the age, sometimes, it says they are the wrong age. Then you have to phone them to register your child. That's fine by me - but when you call they won't apologise for the inconvenience it caused you, nor will they try to fix the problem, but are rude instead. We did baseball last summer and each practice was in a different field each week with the coach texting us in the last minute. Really? The coach could not pitch a ball, and never rotated players. This summer we thought about soccer, but with 2 kids, we would have to travel to different fields and go to 2 practices and one game per week for each child. In the meantime there is no info on what days it will be held and for how long (it is march). People - organise yourselves. Announce a time and days, and if it fills let people know, if it does not fill, tell them it did not fill. Other cities do this. In the meantime I am spending my tax dollars on staff who have to tell100's of parents the same thing on the phone, because you can't type it on a form and get organised. We're looking to other teams, that actually can at least tell us basics and yes, we understand if it does not fill, but leaving dates and times to the last minute is just unorganised. One more thing - if you are going to put a new website online, test it before it goes live, this way, you won't be left with nothing online. Someone hire a competent IT person over there, please ! Someone hire polite staff, too. Someone make some forms that make sense. Someone hire someone to PROPERLY organise summer activities - working parents don't have time to play detective. Wait an intern form K-state could do a better job.
  • Park has pretty much everything, tennis courts, basketball, baseball, Soccer, Kiddy Water Park (free), several play areas, walking paths, the Manhattan water park is also located on the property. This park takes up an entire city block and is very active during the day.
  • The kids loved the park! Was great
