Lovely shops and restaurants, seems more upscale than Hermosa or Rodondo. It is a little difficult to park and if anyone happens to have difficulties walking, the walk from the beach up is very steep.... read more »

Manhattan Beach is a beautiful seaside community chocked full of restaurants, local shops and more. If you're looking to spend a day with a cool ocean breeze washing over you while walking around doing some shopping, grabbing lunch, more shopping and then having a drinks with friends, Downtown Manhattan Beach won't let you down. Manhattan Beach also has it's fair share of special events, from the Holiday Gala where they shut the streets down, have bouncy houses for kids, snow pits to play with snow, ice and more. Halloween festivities see streets shut down so parents and kids alike can run around and collect treats from local businesses. There are sidewalk sales, art events, the list goes on. Pro tip - parking can get full, especially during the summer and on weekends. I suggest carpooling if you can, or arriving early (before 10am) or later (between 4-5pm, when visitors tend to start to leave the beach).

So much to do! Food, bars, shops, apartments and houses too. Parking is a bit difficult mostly with meter parking and depending on the lot you park at there are some that are 2, hour, 3 hour or 5 hour and parking is strictly enforced so keep that in mind. Sundays and weekdays later afternoon is the best time to go since there are not as many people there and you can find it easier and lest crowded.
No parking don't waist your time
