  • Very short hike over a somewhat rough trail to a sink which shows how the water moves underground and into the cave. Interesting but not a big deal.  more »

Where to stay in Mammoth Cave National Park

You have a couple of options for spending the night in Mammoth Caves National Park. First, you may opt to camp at one of the three campgrounds or about a dozen backcountry sites. The campgrounds are developed, providing toilets, grills, and drinking water. The second option involves bedding down at one of the two motels by the cave's entrance. If you prefer to have restaurants and various services close by, choose one of the economy motels in the aptly named Cave City just east of the park.
