One of the most popular beaches in the greater Los Angeles area, Zuma Beach attracts swimmers, surfers, fishers, and beachgoers alike with reliable waves and smooth sands. Part of Malibu's famous coastline, the beach stretches along the Pacific Ocean and is backed by mountains and foothills. You can hit the waves on a surfboard or body-board and then soak up the sun on sand renowned for its cleanliness. Though lifeguards are on duty during the day, you need to be careful at all times in the water; rip currents can be very strong. The beaches are clean as are the facilities. The food is typical and tasty not incredibly expensive. Be sure to wear suncreen even if overcast, you will burn! more »

Beautiful beach very quiet, recognized as a great surfing spot. I was there after lunch before the sunset there was nobody, I took the opportunity to swim in the waves it was fun I even saw 2 small stripe me around for a few seconds. I then went to eat e the small grocery store "Vintage Grocers" at 2 minutes North, to take pictures of the sunset and kite surf really beautiful with mountains in edge of sea in the backgroundView original

Beautiful! Sandy beaches and lots of life guards. I felt very calm and relaxed which is hard to do sometimes with kids. Weather was amazing and just a great location to go to. I was going to go to another beach but my mailman suggested this beach as i was leaving and boy am I glad he did. The extra drive was so worth it. It was simply beautiful and helped create great memories. The showers were all working and just overall great location.

Zuma is a beautiful beach that is exactly what you picture when you think of southern CA beaches! It costs $15 to park, but you can just as easily park on the street for free. Maybe no “just” as easily as you have to make a small jump down just a couple feet so if you have small children and a ton of stuff it might be worth it to park. They accept credit cards. The beach as I mention is beautiful and very well maintained. There are a ton of life guards which is nice. The waves here can get really big so it’s a great place to surf or boogie board! We saw dolphins today!!! There is a clean bathroom (for a beach bathroom) and even a snack bar (which I’ve never used to can’t speak to it’s quality). Zuma makes for a wonderful day to the beach! Nice

I love Zuma Beach. Parking is fairly cheap ($8 as of this post) and parking lot is super close to the shoreline. You can park for free on pch if you can find a space. There is a bathroom as well as outdoor showers to wash off the sand. We usually park our stuff between lifeguard stations 5 and 6. Lifeguards are totally on it and working hard! Great sun, great surf, great way to beat the Valley heat.

I do like this beach. Can see the rich houses and beautiful sunsets. The public facilities are just that - public facilities. So they smell. There are lifeguards close by and that is good. You can park on the street if you can find a spot and that will save some money. We just pack a lot of snacks so we don’t have to give of money on other food.

Fairly nice and clean with good parking if you are early. The beach is steep, so the tide can be rough. Expect colder water than other beaches in the area. The beach is a sanctuary so fishing is absolutley prohibited. Parking on Sunday was $15.
