  • This place sold a bunch of touristy stuff. However, it only cost $0.50 to climb the tower, so it didn't break the bank.
  • Very cheap tacky tourist hell! The view from the tower isn't as good as driving a couple more miles and using an overlook.
  • For just 50 cents each, we climbed up this 9 story tower to get the best view of the Carolina mountains in Maggie Valley. The autumn colors were breathtaking around the crevices in the mountains that ...  more »

  • Awesome view, and awesome mom n pop atmosphere. Great stop for family or anyone!!!
  • I kid you not, best fifty cents you'll ever spend. Out of shape, and even I made it up the Observation Tower, the view up and down through the valley . . . is not to be missed. Bring a camera. A few clouds, make it even better. Was taking the "back way" into Cherokee instead of going through Gatlinburg, for the scenic route. Stop and see.
  • It's a 50 cent tourist trap. And I mean that in a very good way. This little spot is tucked away in a corner not quite in the heart of Maggie Valley. The "trap" is the four story tower that costs 50 cents to climb. The nice views from the tower and the general novelty of the attraction is worth every penny. Of course, the tower is simply a way to get folks in the shop. It's a small shop, but manages to pack in a decent selection of grab-n-go eats, sundries, gifts, and souvenirs. It's a picturesque shop that is the very definition of a roadside shop and is perfect for a feature film location. Do stop when passing by. Buy some molasses. And climb the lookout tower.
