Where to stay in Madison

The university and state politics draw a constant stream of visitors to Madison, so you'll find a wide range of accommodations in the city. Numerous hotels circle the campus, and some of these overlook Lake Mendota. Moving onto the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, you'll find a handful of charming inns and bed and breakfasts, most of which offer panoramic views of the water. Areas south of Lake Monona feature national chain hotels and motels. These sit farther away from the action around campus and the State Capitol Building, but they can also offer water views and quiet settings near some of Madison's many parks.

  • Three mini golf courses! One indoor and two outside. The courses outside are not in excellent shape but old and charming. The indoor course is much nicer. Batting cages could also use a little maintenance.
  • Great range, good prices on private lessons. the par 3 is a lot of fun for the price. Covered and heated spots are available, but you can also hit off of grass.
  • If you are in town with family or friends and have time to kill. This is the perfect activity! Family had a great time.
  • Had a great afternoon with the family here. Played a round of mini golf did the RC boats. The course was in good shape, not a simple thing given the abuse it sees every day. Everyone was very friendly.
  • Servers/attendants on the range are awesome. So nice and easy to enjoy.
