State Street serves as the city's main pedestrian route and center of activity. The street stretches through the center of town, with the state capitol at one end and the University of Wisconsin-Madison at the other. This location gives the area a lively student population. Explore the many shops as you stroll, or stop in for a bite or drink at one of the restaurants, bars, or cafes. You can also watch the musicians who frequently play along the route, as well as the other street performers. Don't miss the Memorial Library Mall, one of the city's most notable historical buildings. • The food is pretty good and they have plenty of drink options. Nice place to watch the game. The outdoor area is a little small, but it's nice they have it. It gets really packed when school is in session. The upstairs is crazy and packed too when school is in.
  • This place is my favorite spot in Madison. The atmosphere is A+ and the brats are even better. Nothing more authentic than this place and the crowd is a blast... particularly on game days!
  • One of my favorite places to eat. Great food and great atmosphere. Very family friendly (during certain hours). We stop in every time we're in town.
  • OK bar food, but great atmosphere and service. Dance floor on the second level is always a good time when its open and the outdoor seating has a good mood. They let you take glass outside too
  • Tasty brats!! It's right in the name and is exactly true. They also have an outstanding condiments bar with every topping and sauce you can imagine. The french fries were so good that I'm hungry for them again just writing this review. And the location near the capital in Madison was great!
