  • The beer is hit or miss. If you like hops you will love their beer but if you like smoother less bold beers you will not enjoy their beer. The inside taproom is small, but their beer garden is great i...  more »
  • I know, why write a review if you want to keep it hidden? Golden rule! Not only do they brew their own wort but they distill as well, plenty locally crafted drinks. Eat before you go. Not much of a fo...  more »
  • I've enjoyed their beer for some time now. There is usually a food truck there for food and sometimes live music. The outside area is nice as well. Good place for after work beer

  • A brewery that occasionally succeeds. Weedy's Double IPA was among the top beers I've ever had... in the brewery. But when I bought some bottles in a store a few months later (I know, it's really not meant to age) the bottles nearly exploded. Their pilsner is very good, reminding why this beer is so popular.. The black IPA is delicious and hard to make well. Their sours occasionally hit a note I like. They've got a new brewer, it will be interesting to see how this brewery changes under new leadership.
  • Fantastic local brewery in Madison. The Pinstripe Stout series is outstanding. Award winning beer from Blue Pants as well as some whiskey, rum, and other spirits made by this brewery.
  • This place used to be great, but things change. The staff are just kids who are there to fill your mugs and do errands. They don't smile or try to sell their different beers at all; it's just a quick turnaround and then it's back to horsing around with their friends or coworkers.
  • This place has apparently been around for about 5 years??? Decided to check it out last night. I was STUNNED to walk in @ approximately 6 pm on a Thursday and find a drunk woman at the bar. And speaking of a bar...who builds a bar (very small) that looks like it's a disgusting mess with spills all over it? Perhaps they consider that "art," but, it caused me to view everything as dirty...and it was. The entire bar area is filthy...right down to the bartender. And speaking of the bartender...he needs to consider another occupation. I'm assuming he thought he was being "crafty" by attempting to tap 2 bears at once -- but, the only thing he accomplished was pouring foam, dumping the beer half way through...and then repeating the same process. Frankly, the beer itself seemed incredibly foamy and waste was abundant. I should have known from the beginning. The parking lost, albeit full, was a disgusting mess with empty kegs and old LARGE plastic containers. Regardless of what the containers are for, keeping them in front of the facility is low rent. Then again, they are located behind Wal-mart...and this was the very reason I had never stopped there before. It appears the packed parking lot is more indicative of their location than the quality of their product. The clientele tends to be just as low rent -- very blue collar; hence the name BLUE PANTS. They have a food truck that has a table set up inside next to the bathrooms. How disgusting is that? And last night was $7 for Mac & Cheese. Once was enough. I'll stick to the Old Black Bear.
  • Who else has a Biergarten with hop vines? I am a little on the fence. At first I was not a big fan of their beers, than Weedy got some education and every single beer was good if not great. I was so looking forward to this year's Pils release, which made the top of my list of US Pilsner in 2015. The 2016 release was overly carbonated and jumped out the bottle. It tastes good but I have a hard time getting over the CO2.
