  • The show was great, but they didn't seem to be processing people into the place fast enough. We all had tickets printed in this day and age you'd think they'd put more resources into people manning the turnstiles. Instead there was a very long line of people out in the cold, waiting to get in. The show had to be delayed 45 minutes so that people could get in.
  • Such a huge and beautiful place. The events that were held here was amazing. Parking is spacious.
  • The place is decently sized, so pretty much any very popular band plays here when they come to Madison. The parking is not free, but getting an Uber after a concert is expensive, so I'd say it's worth it. You're lining up outside, so it can be cold in the winter. The bathrooms are honestly too small for the place's size, but they aren't that bad. Food is expensive, but that's too be expected. It gets hot during concerts (on the floor, anyway) so don't wear warm clothes. Overall, it's not too bad of a place.
  • We'll run and well kept had a good time at the conference I attended there. The center could use more receptacles for charging purposed as well an some new lighting, there were several lights that seemed to be thrown together with wiring hanging down the sides and broken lenses. the parking lot was nice as well as the walk up pavillion.
  • Great venue for all hosted events. From concerts to volleyball to motocross you'll have a good unobstructed view of the action.

Where to stay in Madison

The university and state politics draw a constant stream of visitors to Madison, so you'll find a wide range of accommodations in the city. Numerous hotels circle the campus, and some of these overlook Lake Mendota. Moving onto the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, you'll find a handful of charming inns and bed and breakfasts, most of which offer panoramic views of the water. Areas south of Lake Monona feature national chain hotels and motels. These sit farther away from the action around campus and the State Capitol Building, but they can also offer water views and quiet settings near some of Madison's many parks.
