Where to stay in Madison

The university and state politics draw a constant stream of visitors to Madison, so you'll find a wide range of accommodations in the city. Numerous hotels circle the campus, and some of these overlook Lake Mendota. Moving onto the isthmus between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, you'll find a handful of charming inns and bed and breakfasts, most of which offer panoramic views of the water. Areas south of Lake Monona feature national chain hotels and motels. These sit farther away from the action around campus and the State Capitol Building, but they can also offer water views and quiet settings near some of Madison's many parks.

  • My husband, myself and 2 friends went to see Journey/Asia in concert. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Our seats were excellent.
  • They need to have no smoking at their events. Or dedicated areas.
  • Been coming to the coliseum for over 20 years. The sound is better here for concerts than other venues. Pantera, Metallica, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Ozzy, and Disturbed are just a handful of the great shows I have seen here.
  • Went for Vegan Fest and found it to be a good space for events. Spacious and we'll setup
