John's Pass Village & Boardwalk, Madeira Beach

An early 20th-century fishing village-turned-tourist-attraction, John's Pass Village & Boardwalk connects the Gulf of Mexico with the Intracoastal Waterway, Tampa Bay, and Boca Ciega Bay. The town still supports a fishing industry. Fresh catches from the fishing fleet are served at many restaurants in the area. You'll see Jet Skis and parasails gliding across the surface of the water near a reconstructed pirate ship that rests in the harbor. Consider signing up for a dolphin-sighting tour to enjoy the antics of the attraction's most charming occupants. • It's a pretty typical touristy spot. That said, we had a lot of fun! Being off season, it wasn't too busy so the crowds were small to nothing. We ate at locally owned restaurants, no chains. Had some locally brewed beer and cigars rolled on site. Overall we enjoyed ourselves!
  • We took the 3 hour Dolphin Watch Cruise. Because of Red Tide, only saw one dolphin but had a entertaining boat ride on a beautiful day. Red Tide is gone and things are getting back to normal. Lots of shops with reasonable prices and good things to eat. Very nice activity on a beautiful day for all ages.
  • This is a regular stop for us when we visit the area. If you like shopping this is a fun place to visit. There are good restaurants there, a bit pricey but not expensive enough to be prohibitive. I think we averaged $10-15 per meal. There are also sightseeing boats and deep sea fishing excursions available here. We occasionally see dolphins off the boardwalk.
  • Very crowded, signs could be clearer to get around and about. Overall... Excellent experience. 2pm tour is geared towards kids. I wish there would have been a better availability/rotation for people to go upstairs. There's only 7 people allowed n some people plopped themselves upstairs, which prohibited other from to go upstairs as well. Overall it was fun😎
  • Took a walk in John's pass, not that many shops on the boardwalk. The alligator park was really fun for about 6 bucks a ticket. The picture is of the turtle Mr.Rudolph from the same place, he's about 25 years old and very playful. Few quaint little shops. Nothing to spend too much time around if you are not doing any activities.
