  • Great place to go and see all types of Butterfly's. We thought Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids was spectacular but this Conservatory will amaze you.
  • Kind of pricey, I don't even think we were in there for 40 minutes. Educational, kids loved it. Colorful variety of butterflies.
  • Small butterfly conservatory but still nice. Butterflys were still active in late September. There were probably 100 flying around.
  • We visited the conservatory on Wednesday, August 24th with our 4 year old granddaughter and had a fabulous time! The butterflies were magical and my granddaughter felt like she was in a fairytale. Thank you for helping us build wonderful memories that we will remember for years to come!!
  • Absolutely amazing. Wide variety of butterflies, nice staff, nice environment and beautiful decoration. I had such a great time there.
  • Lots of beautiful butterflies despite the small space. The butterflies themselves are all friendly and seem used to humans as they may land on you if you stay still.
  • This conservatory was well built and seems well maintained. They had an astounding variety of butterfly species and it took us nearly an hour just to find them all! The butterflies had plenty of food and foliage to flutter around.
  • We visited this place as part of our tour and our son loved it. You enter a somewhat smaller than expected glass house where the butterflies are kept. I guess I expected it to be larger, it tends to get a little crowded if too many people are in there at once. You do have to watch your step as some of the butterflies may be resting on the ground. Don't confuse this with the Butterfly/Bug attraction in downtown Mackinac Island as some unlucky others had and were not permitted in because they purchased the wrong ticket for this attraction. The butterflies fly about freely and sometimes land on people offering good picture opportunities. Several had landed on heads, legs, backs or walk onto your hand if you hold it out. Had a good picture of my son with one in his hand - he kept trying to get them to crawl onto his head.
