Trip Planner: USA / Michigan / Upper Peninsula / Mackinac County / Mackinac Island / St Anne's Catholic Church
Tilt your head back to admire the curved ceiling and attractive motifs at St Anne's Catholic Church, constructed in 1874. The striking white church looks over the water and stands out as Mackinac Island's most prominent religious landmark. I was very appreciative they had Mass Saturday night @ 5:30. It's a very nice church & I was happy with the priest and he had a good homily. I would recommend going to Mass @ this church. The... more »
St. Anne's Catholic Church on Mackinac Island is beautiful both inside and out. Was fortunate to go inside. There was no mass at the time, but the doors were still open. Said a few prayers, and I..... more »
Beautiful and peaceful. I am not Catholic, however, I am Christian and enjoyed the peaceful experience devoted to prayer in this church. I love that it's open for prayer and visiting during times other than their daily service. I also am very happy to see they have once a week night services for the Jamaican community who are often seasonal service workers on the Island. Awesome!
A beautiful Catholic church. For a very small town they do have daily mass. And for those of Jamaican descent they have an active Jamaican evening mass. The church has a great little store in basement. It also has a beautiful stations of the Cross outside with tables to have a lunch at.
Stunning Roman Catholic church with a gorgeous view over Lake Huron. It is touching and well cared for internally. Externally, it could use a paint job in a few years. It features a unique mosaic baptismal font.
Very nice Catholic church with a lot of historical significance. It is open to public visitations and offers a quiet reflection into Mackinac Island's past. It offers a nice reprieve from some of crowds of the island. I definitely recommend this as a quiet break
Wonderful historic parish on Mackinac Island. Beautiful stations of the cross and stained glass. Strait forward traditional Mass.
