  • We really appreciated that we were able to make accommodations ahead of time without the need to meet anyone at the office. We arrived late at night, there was a packet waiting for us with the map to our site. We paid ahead with our credit card, In the morning we just left the park, and everything worked out great. It was a very pretty park and the camp site was nice. We may return when we have time to stay.
  • It is beautiful and great area for hiking and climbing. The Prairie is spectacular. You can rent a tepee and that is fun. The downside, you need to bring your own water. Also the dam broke a few years ago and will not be replaced, so no swimming area.
  • Look alive and keep an eye out for some bison! The park has a nifty raised wooden platforms for spotting those fluffy brown beasts. A fun place to camp too if you're a scout. Stop by if you're in town.
  • Friendly staff Tent sites (listed as Cart-In) are great, some are a bit exposed. Plenty of space to walk around The climbing area is beautiful Quartzite Be certain to sign up for camping online, or arrive early enough to reserve on site.
  • Wonderful state park with many miles of hiking, views, and history. Very nice camping accommodations.
