It is beautiful and great area for hiking and climbing. The Prairie is spectacular. You can rent a tepee and that is fun. The downside, you need to bring your own water. Also the dam broke a few years ago and will not be replaced, so no swimming area.
The teepee is an unforgettable time, it was awesome waking up and seeing bison. The trails were well-groomed and fun to walk on. The Interpretive Center was closed when we went, that was kind of a bummer. We slept through a severe thunderstorm in the teepee...we did not get wet, so no worries about rain storms in the teepee(#1)
Beautiful prairie land. Bison and lots of wildlife. The view at night time is disappointing though....thought we'd see tons of stars but instead it was filled with tons of light pollution.
The park is great and the front desk guy was nice. Trails are pretty but the campsites in the walk in area are very slanted and difficult to get an even spot for your tent.
It was great and and plenty of hiking and biking area. We were out of luck as the bison were out of sight for our hike.
