  • Lutsen's 4 mountains with a diverse variety of skiing is perfect for everyone from beginner to seriously good. Their new gondola and high speed 6 person lift make all terrains easily available and way...  read more »
  • Stayed here a few nights during visit to the North Shore, served as a nice base of operations. Rooms not fancy but functional, and reasonably priced this time of year
  • We stayed at a town home at Caribou Highlands, Unit 510, and we had one other family with us. Easy access from the town home down a catwalk to the Caribou Express lift on Moose Mtn. Good snow, weather...  read more »
  • I really enjoyed skiing the different mountains of Lusten and they are definitely the best in the Midwest. I skied during the week so prices for lodging and lift tickets were a bargain. Runs were nicely marked and taken care of. Why they let 4 wheelers run up and down the mountain creating deep ruts I will never know. Also, this place need to install bicycle flags on all snowmobiles, ATVs, and groomers as a safety feature. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Not a lot of dining options in the area! Not really a lot to do in the winter here besides ski and they close at 4pm. Families should plan and bring food to make meals. Dining options were on the expensive side for such a remote place. I'll be back with a group of friends someday.
  • A bit expensive but the view makes it almost worth it. The food however was very pricey, I ended up paying $2.20 for a 12 ounce drink with no refills! The mountain top shellac itself was rather sketchy. The tables were falling apart and certain parts seemed unsafe. If you don't mind the high prices, Lutsen Mountains might be a lot of fun for the whole family....
  • Even though Lutsen is a beautiful and fun place to ski and snowboard, the organization for customers is TERRIBLE! We had a gift card, with Papa Charlie's on it, so we went to Papa Charlie's spending a lot because we had a gift card. Then they told us we couldn't use it at the restaurant, and was supposed to get a certificate written out first at the ticket office. Which it said nothing about on the card. The manager at Papa Charlie's gave us a discount, so this was nice of her. Also, we had 50% coupons for lift tickets we could not use because you could only use them for online, which wouldn't normally be a problem except that YOU CAN'T USE A LUTSEN GIFT CARD ONLINE! That makes no sense to me why you couldn't use a gift card online.
  • Fantastic ski resort. I went nearly yearly growing up. It's definitely improving from what it used to be.
