  • I was blown away by the skiing at Lutsen Mountain! I live in Southeastern WI and was very hesitant to make the 8 hour drive to Lutsen, I mean you could fly and drive to a location out West in that sam...  more »
  • The lift tickets are expensive but it a fun place to ski. Good snow even coming march 30&31!!! Make sure to bring your own food and snacks. The restaurants and snack spots can be expensive.  more »

  • The resort has a strangle hold on most all of their services and charges excessively. For about the same money you can go to Colorado and enjoy a REAL mountain experience. Only until recently did they FINALLY reinvest in their resort by putting in a new gondola. They old gondola should have been in a museum 15 years ago. A good bit of their lodging is like walking in to a time capsule, beyond dated. Save your money...
  • I had low expectations for Mn skiing but Lutsen surpassed them by far! It's like a mini Tahoe with Lake Superior as the back drop! Overpriced for sure, but buy your lift tickets in advance on liftopia and save a lot.
  • Lutsen has the best ski runs in Midwest but cant compare to the Rockies. It is priced as if it was in the Rockies which keeps it from being over crowded. The design of the runs and lifts often makes getting to the next lift more work than it should be. They could use a few more strategically placed lifts. There are plenty of ski in and out lodging options. They have a very nice gondola that runs year round and one very nice large fast lift. It is a better resort for experienced skiers than for beginners.
  • Definitely one of the best ski hills in the Midwest. The place is huge with lots of variety. Excellent views of Lake Superior!
  • The views were amazing, able to look over the lake! The hill is difficult to navigate. Plus, if going down greens to get to the lift you had to go on a steep blue or black. Not a good option for beginners. If we didn't have the kids with, I would have score it higher.
