  • I have lived in Lubbock almost my whole life, but have never visited the Buddy Holly Center, so a friend of mine and I went on a Sunday after church and I must say I have no idea why I waited so long ...  more »

  • Very cool exhibit. Lots of cool stuff to see and read. Only down side, they don't let you take pictures. Most of the stuff is on loan from other people and has something to do with copyrights. Still worth the trip I say.
  • It was clean and well organized, and the staff were very friendly. However, it's a pretty uninteresting place unless you harbor a strong interest in music history, rock history, or Buddy Holly. They have two very small galleries relating to Buddy Holly that have lots of items and info, but as I said they are very, very small. There is also a third fine arts gallery, though I didn't get the chance to look at that one. As of June 2017 admission for adults is $8 per person, and I include that info here for others to see because I couldn't find it posted anywhere on their Facebook and their actual website doesn't seem to be working. Be forewarned: there is no photography allowed inside of the actual galleries. Also, it's not a great idea to bring kids under 12 here...they aren't going to care about the exhibits and they just wind up putting fingerprints on the glass and getting in the way of the adults actually trying to look at the displays. There's really nothing interactive or interesting for children here.
  • It was awesome I loved it but.they should be playing his music not only just in the gift shop but through out the building.and more info on the artifacts.more info on artifacts and I would have given this 5 stars
  • A wonderful tribute to one of the most influential names in popular music. My only suggestion is to offer better explanations for some of the items on display. Other than that, it's very well done.
  • It was great it shows a lot of unique things that he has done and tells a lot about everyone else
