  • Buffalo Springs lake costs money to get in, so be sure to get your money's worth! You can ATV, camp, fish, boat, and grill. The website says there are mountain bike trails, but they have been over run...  read more »
  • This lake is a hidden gem for sure. We lovencourage this lake it's so beautiful and just minutes from Lubbock. It's so worth the drive from anywhere near by. Day trip or a weekend getaway.
  • Went to a hot air balloon event on lake and was very impressed! Many camping sites, homes, even a mayor & fire dep't. A lovely oasis.
  • My husband and I love this lake lots of places to camp, but every single time we come there is an event and so many damn people we can't even enjoy our time, makes us not want to come back at all, because we don't want to have check every single time before we come to see if there's a damn event, we wanna go, and find a good spot to camp and fish, but we never can! Stop having so many events please so people like us can go and actually have a good time and not be woken up at 6:30 by a food truck! We don't wanna have to go somewhere else, but if this keeps up we will.
  • Wasn't too good of an experience for me, kinda of overpriced for having nothing there to do, but look at a lake. Just google pictures of the lake, you'll be better off seeing that and have more money in your pocket by the end of the day. I was expecting nice interactives with the lake and some food diners, there only one food place I believe and it looked strange. I guess it's partially my failt for not checking the reviewers beforehand.
  • I am giving a three star rating because I feel it is a good averaging of the place. During peak season in the summer I would stay away from here, it is overcrowded and there is litter everywhere. During the fall and the spring this is a great place to come for the weekend and it seems a lot cleaner due to the slower pace. Bottom line: This is a great place to go for a weekend during the school year but I personally don't think a summer visit is worth it.
  • Decent fishing, but I did not see many bass here when I went fishing. There's quite a few people here certain times of the year. And if you want to eat, then you have to drive all the way back into Lubbock, because the few places here are extremely overpriced. Bait is also overpriced at the marina, but this is to be expected. It's also pretty expensive to rent a boat (about average with larger lakes in other parts of Texas) considering there is a very large no wake zone.
  • Lake campsites were clean! Beautiful scenery and friendly staff, the only thing I didn't like was the $1 charge to pay with my debit Card. I know it's just a dollar, but why charge for a commonly used payment method?
