Purportedly the first "cageless" animal park in the United States, the touring roads through Lion Country Safari weave among animals commonly found on African safari. After purchasing a ticket to the park, you'll be handed an audiotape or CD to play as a guided tour for your drive. It is important to drive slowly and keep doors and windows closed at all times. In the chimpanzee exhibit, chimps mimic their natural behavior by migrating from island to island within the park, and the exhibit are also used to research the primates' complex behavior. After the driving tour, the visit Safari World Ferris wheel, petting zoo, and rides. Lion Country Safari Reviews
Отличный сафари. Езда на авто по парку с животными. Очень интересно. Оставливайтесь у страусов. Они очень любопытны. Не забудте про пеший зоопарк в конце которого кормление жерафов. more »Excellent Safari. Riding on car park with animals. Very interesting. Ostavlivajtes do ostriches. They are very curious. Not forget about walking the Zoo at the end of which the feeding zherafov.
I took my two boys (ages 7 and 8) to Lion Country Safari on a Teacher Planning Day since there was no school. We’d never been before (even though we live in Miami, just one hour away) and although I’d... more »
We arrived a little late and we were only able to do the drive thru portion but we loved it! We loved seeing the animals roaming around freely instead of in traditional zoo enclosures. Would visit aga... more »
Went here for the first time about two weeks ago, enjoyed it a great deal, I wish the weather had been better for exploring the zoo, had to settle for during through twice, it was amazing, the first time we saw the animals they were lively, and very active, we even saw feeding time. The second drive through, the animals were all feed and less lively, they were mostly sleeping. I Recommend going early in the morning, drive though, break for zoo exploration weather permitting of course, then drive through again. Admission is a bit pricey, but worth it as you get two parks in one.
Our four year old loved this place, especially the water park. The safari was just long enough, cute rides, and animal exhibits. The giraffe feeding was a hit too! Nice that almost everything is included in the ticket price - I think the only things we paid for were food for us and food for giraffe/petting zoo.
We didn't even bring the kids ... Or the grandchildren ... and STILL loved it! It was a great way to spend a few hours with the wildlife, without going to a bar or the beach. We went with friends who hadn't visited since the days when the lions were allowed to roam free, before the lawyers and insurance companies took over. It was great fun, a chance to get up close and personal with some beasts you would not otherwise encounter, even at the mall on Black Friday! Visit. It is worth every penny, particularly if you take the time to find the $8 off coupon.
Cool experience for the kids. Kinda bummed that the lions are behind a fence now. Price is way too high for what the park provides. The drive through the exhibit took us about an hour. To walk through the park only took us about an hour. No adult rides. Water park was a neat addition but I would had preferred to see and interact with more animals. We spent 200$ on a family of four thats admission and four bottles of water. Won't be back.
Nice place to bring your kids. Moderately expensive. You can find coupons for money off admission online on their website. You can bring your own drinks and food. Does have their own eatery. Swimming area and rides for the kids. (If there is chance of rain with possible thunder and lighting. The will shut down the swimming area and rides. Beware! It states they have 900 animals at their facility. Note that does not mean 900 different breeds of animals. Over all my son had a good time. Unsure if I would go back or not.
