Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web
Purportedly the first "cageless" animal park in the United States, the touring roads through Lion Country Safari weave among animals commonly found on African safari. After purchasing a ticket to the park, you'll be handed an audiotape or CD to play as a guided tour for your drive. It is important to drive slowly and keep doors and windows closed at all times. In the chimpanzee exhibit, chimps mimic their natural behavior by migrating from island to island within the park, and the exhibit are also used to research the primates' complex behavior. After the driving tour, the visit Safari World Ferris wheel, petting zoo, and rides. • Great experience! Saw several different animals that you would never seen this close ever! Animals two feet away from your car and up close. It was an amazing experience. If your near by its a definite must do! Great for the kids and they have another zoo area for you to do after the drive thru!
  • LOVE this place! Not many places you can see these beautiful animals in cage free lands without taking a 12 hour flight to Africa. The animals are healthy and seem quite happy, especially the giraffes. They just love to be fed and we love to feed them! Well done and kudos to all those who work and volunteer their time to this wonderful place. It's much appreciated. :)
  • Best animal encounter experience ever! Better than Animal Kingdom and the Miami Zoo. You really get the Safari experience without the stress of heat and uncomfortable seats. The soundtrack guide is available on your phone and you get to take great pictures. The park is also very interactive and shaded. Great price too and includes all the rides and experiences. Didn't give 5 starts because of how limited the petting zoo was and how limited the food options were.
  • great place to take the kids. if it's hot outside, you can just stay in the car or play in the splash playground. prices are reasonable and if you're local you should definitely get the annual pass. if you go at least twice a year you break even and the savings in the gift shop and restaurants help a lot, too. giraffe and lory feeding experiences are highly recommended.
  • It was my first time there and it was beautiful! I loved seeing all the different animals, they were so peaceful and at ease. I just wish it wasn't such a hot day that I could of walked around the walk-through more longer to see more of the beauty but overall I had a great time and would definitely go back!
