  • My partner and I traveled from DC to western VA for two reasons - Monticello and this winery. The tasting room is cozy and the winery had a nice deck for you to enjoy a glass of wine, or bottle. You h...  more »

  • Small and out of the way but do not let that discourage you. Its an amazing experience Riaan describes each wine in detail and can tell you how more information and character on each wine than most people know about themselves. Each wine was amazing in its own right and it is an experience to remember.
  • nice winery and great wines ... only negative is that if you are disabled, you can't get to wine tasting deck/area as there are many steps for access, no lifts nor elevator ... back door closest to deck is blocked off and not used ... employee did bring down samples, but had to stand by a sink/counter/restroom in order to do wine tasting ... wines are all displayed upstairs so not the true experience if you want to purchase/taste wine as a handicapped patron
  • Great place for a small group tasting for FREE. Wines were somewhat standard for the area, but had nice varieties. Beautiful property in the countryside.
  • One of the best gems in the area for wine and the tasting experience
  • A lovely, small operation down near Lynchburg. Definitely worth the stop if you are this far south in VA wine country. The staff is very passionate about the wines, and it is great to learn about the wines from them! Would love to return.
