Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web
Named after a baseball bat with origins in this city, Louisville Slugger Field is home to the minor league club team the Louisville Bats. Opened in 2000 with seating for over 13,000 visitors, the stadium features a continuous concourse around the field, extensive press facilities, and a children's play area. You enter the ballpark through a restored train shed--a railroad warehouse the architects incorporated into their designs for the modern stadium. Stop by for one of the club's home games, or join a behind-the-scenes tour to see the ballpark's dugouts, press boxes, and locker rooms. Reserve your tour spot by phone at least one week in advance. • Went to Louisville city FC. Soccer game at Slugger field. Not a bad seat in the place really . Our seats were at the midfield. Ball park food. The famous slugger dog . Right on the river with good vie...  read more »

  • This is one of the nicest baseball fields and facilities that I have ever seen. It's a cozy field in the heart of downtown Louisville. It's very visually appealing with plenty of greenscape and they e...  read more »
  • Recently nominated Best Minor League Ballpark! Sunday, kids can eat free (nachos, hot-dog, and a soda). Basically a hand full of chips w/cheese and a rolled up hot-dog in foil, but kids don't complain. Relatively same prices for food and drinks you would find at a major league ballpark so expect to pay a pretty penny especially if you have/take more than 2 kiddos, but it's a great time. Check the website for giveaways before the games (hats, bobble-heads,etc.) There is a Kids Club available for those under 12, $20 for free admission to Sunday games, replica jersey and a drawstring bag.....not too shabby! PLAY BALL!
  • Great sports field. I saw a baseball and football (soccer) game here. Beer is cold, food is fast takeaway what else do you need. Love the drink holders in the back of the seats. Ingenious. Has an excellent Lousiville Bats merch stall inside the grounds.
  • Had a great experience. The place is well maintained. I had enough room in the seats. The Louisville Bats were better baseball players than I thought when my grandparents took me. There is a large amount of consession stands where you could find almost any type of food. You can walk around and you can find a playground for kids on site. Had a really fun time.
  • Voted best Minor League park in America and it lives up to the award. Great place to catch a baseball game. Great sight lines all over the park and friendly, helpful staff to go along with it.
  • One of the best ballparks in the minors (not that I've been to many honestly). Classic design, good ticket prices. The food can be pricey. See the Slugger in action!
